Gather together for a fun and relaxing holiday in this fabulous former chapel, a unique escape for large families or groups of friends. Its stylish and colourful decor is matched by its excellent amenities and versatile spaces. It’s located in the heart of a lovely village where you can go wild swimming, head out on scenic walks or visit nearby Hay-on-Wye (4 miles).

The chapel combines a sense of grandeur with welcome and cosiness, and its eclectic decor combines colour, pattern and artworks in a delightful way. Soaring ceilings, arched doors and tall windows make an unforgettable impression. The main living space has a beautiful kitchen that includes a range-style cooker and coffee machine. The long dining table is in the centre, with a comfortable sofa adjacent and a cosy lounge at the opposite end, including a Smart TV. A utility room and a shower room complete the ground floor. Take one of the two sets of stairs to the first floor, where a spacious landing leads to the four bedrooms, two king-size (one of which has an en-suite shower) and two twins/super-king-size, plus a family bathroom. The pretty garden at one side of the property is a delightful place in which to enjoy an early-evening drink or a meal in the open air, enjoying the scent and colours of the flowers and looking out over the village green.

Glasbury is located on the banks of the River Wye, just 4 miles from the renowned book town of Hay-on-Wye. Take a dip at the village beach known as The Bont, or walk the public footpaths of the Begwns, described by the National Trust as having ‘all the views, none of the climb’. Other activities nearby include mountain biking, canoeing, climbing, kayaking, fishing and horse riding.

We were 4 couples + 3 dogs who stayed at the chapel for three nights over new year. We loved our stay, it was a fantastic space to spend time together. Nice large beds for us all, well equipped kitchen and the large open plan lounge diner was lovely. It is stylishly decorated and full of character, some of the furniture is a bit past it, but almostRead more adds to the comfortable homely feel. Really lovely pub with excellent food 2 minutes away and some good dog walks. Would highly recommend. Hide

We had a lovely weekend away and the house was everything we expected. Clean, tidy and comfy. Good location to get onto Hay where we had a meal and drinks on the Saturday. Hosts were communicative and a good information pack to give ideas of things and places to go.

We loved the Chapel on the Green! Quirky, lovely comfy beds, great showers and just a stroll from the river Wye. Perfect space for a family, we were 3 generations, including teenagers who loved it. We had a perfect stay at the Chapel for our friends hen weekend. The lovely pictures do not do this place justice - Graham and Matthew have a created a beautiful space, marrying the traditional charm of the chapel with their boho style beautifully. The house was as we expected and perfect for our needs. We had a lovely time and the hosts were really helpful and friendly. My only recommendation would be a note on the boiling tap in the kitchen. A couple of my party thought it was just the hot tap and scalded their fingers. Other than that it is a superb, quirky, comfortable and fun place. The Read morelocal pub does excellent food as well! The chapel was a really interesting building and we felt at home immediately. We loved all the artwork and books. The beds were comfortable and the space was perfect for eight adults and our dog. We would definitely stay here again, we still have so much of the region to explore and this was the perfect base for a walking holiday.
