Here, you can relax on the sofa with a good book, throwing the doors open in good weather to let the fresh air in. Next door, the kitchen/diner has the ‘wow’ factor with towering ceilings and a whole collection of the owner's artworks in a galley style. The double bedroom is decorated in cool tones to help you sink into a slumber, boasting a modern en-suite bathroom complete with a waterfall shower head. Outside, the private terrace is ideal for al fresco dining, whilst guests are welcome to explore the walled garden and all its magic.
Llangorse Lake (6 miles) is a fantastic place for lovers of outdoor activities, with the chance to hire kayaks, pedalos and paddle boards or ride horses and try your hand at fishing. Further afield, the literary town of Hay-on-Wye (9 miles) is well worth a visit to pursue the independent bookshops and indulge in tasty treats from the local cafes. For more of a challenge, scale the summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain (19 miles) and you’ll be rewarded with far-reaching views which will take your breath away on a clear day.
