Set within the heart of a traditional village, this spacious single-storey annexe is just perfect for explorers whatever the time of year, offering access into the Forest for both walking and cycling.

Stay amongst traditional surroundings in this old village shop, a romantic bolthole for two. This Gloucestershire abode is well-positioned for discovering the wonders of the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean, with world-famous hiking routes along the England-Wales border effortless to reach. The property welcomes any couple and is annexed off the owner’s cottage with a shared garden providing a sunny respite in warm weather. Spend time outside with a morning coffee or a sundowner or make yourselves comfortable in the lounge with one of the property’s board games or jigsaws laid out for entertainment.

Everything sits within easy reach in this single-storey holiday home, with a central hallway leading off into the kitchen, the lounge/diner, the double bedroom and the bathroom. Whilst the compact kitchen has enough room to cook a tasty meal for two, there’s plenty of space in the lounge/diner to sit at the dining table or eat dinner in front of the TV. You can, of course, make use of the garden space and dine alfresco. Back indoors. The bedroom is extremely spacious with double-aspect windows and soft linens to curl up under.

There’s so much beauty situated around Coleford (1 mile) that’s simply waiting to be explored on foot or two wheels. Art appreciators will love getting outdoors and exploring the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail (3 miles), whilst mountain biking pros will be keen to find the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre in the same area (2.5 miles). The enchanting woodlands of Puzzlewood (1 mile) invite gentle strolls and daily adventures, whilst RSPB Nagshead (3 miles) is a must-visit for avid nature spotters. ***** Beautiful holiday accommodation; immaculate and spotless! Lovely owners also. The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and the bath and over-bath shower was great and had a separate room for toilet and washbasin. Home from home feel. Perfect location for exploring the Forest Of Dean with a short walk into open woodland. MoRead morest of the tourist attractions are within a 10 to 15 minute drive. Off road parking safe and secure. Owners very pleasant & helpful. Good spacious sitting room and bedroom, kitchen quite small which we knew before booking, but fine for 2 people A very good feature was the automatic ceiling lighting that came on at night if you were going to the bathroom etc. Very well decorated.

Spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped. Good location for exploring both the Forest and the surrounding area to the east. The local shop is a Co-op and well stocked with basic foods, ie fine for everyday eating but not gourmet. Another reviewer says that the traffic noise was a problem. It wasn't.

Very comfortable cottage with only one minor quibble re bedroom curtains. Everything was provided for our stay and the location was perfect for touring. We were quite content but younger visitors might bemoan the poor mobile signals in the area. We would certainly consider staying again as the hosts were so welcoming.

Very comfortable, clean and well equipped accommodation. Helpful literature on local area, and enjoyed jigsaws! Pleasant hosts. If cold weather is expected, would recommend taking slippers as tiled floors in kitchen and bathroom are cool. Beautiful garden laid to lawn with spring bulbs. Off street parking.

A lovely little cottage, well-equipped, in a very nice area. The owners live next door (the house is actually attached) and are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the internet didn't work very well - the owners were very fast to call their service provider to try sorting it out, but it wasn't fast enough for calls (we found a way around thouRead moregh). If you're a light sleeper, bring some earplugs too - the cars passing on the road were quite loud! Hide

This was one of the most well equipped cottages we have stayed at. A pub and convenience store about 10 minutes walk and a good stroll into Coleford if you wanted. Friendly and welcoming owners and a very comfortable cottage. Off road parking. A very good base to explore the surrounding area, a perfect getaway.
