Escape with your loved one in this stylish first-floor studio in a quaint complex of properties on a working farm close to the beautiful towns of Caerwys and Holywell. Sleeping two people in one bedroom, this is an ideal spot for couples who want to have all the comforts of home while they relax and explore North Wales together. Spend a tranquil morning exploring St Michael’s Church, a beautiful Grade II-listed building, and then treat yourself to something sweet in one of the local cafes. In the evening, come home to enjoy an intimate al fresco dining in the lovely garden while you take in the views of the Dee Estuary.

Take a few steps up the front door of this former granary, step inside and you’ll be greeted by a rustic yet stylish open-plan studio. Take a moment to make yourself at home on the sofa before heading to the smart kitchen area to rustle up a romantic meal for two. Eat at the dining table while you take in the views from the bay window or head outside to dine alfresco at the picnic table in the garden. After dinner, open up a bottle of wine and watch the stars come out, or head to the sofa in the living area to snuggle up in front of your favourite TV show. When the day is done, retire to the double bed in the bedroom area.

Take a dip in the therapeutic waters at St Winefride’s Well (2.5 miles). This place of pilgrimage has a lovely church and is surrounded by lush countryside. Alternatively, embark on a romantic hike through the Clwydian Range (10 miles). Walk hand in hand as you enjoy panoramic views of the Welsh countryside. We had a wonderfull week here in North Wales, walking mainly and the was spacious and well equipped for our needs. I was out of the way, but close enough to Holywell for anything we needed. We felt right home with a good view of the Dee estuary. The road in is not for the faint hearted and you are staying on a working farm, so be prepared for some Read moreanimal smells. Hide
