Delightful dog-friendly holiday cottage within reach of the Llanelli Wetland Centre, Swansea and the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Enjoy the beauty of the Gower Peninsula and the bright lights of the city of Swansea from this welcoming cottage in Pontarddulais. Sleeping four guests, and welcoming canine companions with open paws, the two-bedroom retreat sits in attractive gardens, 9.5 miles from Swansea and 7.5 miles from the Gower, with its spectacular beaches and picturesque coastal walks. It is also 8 miles from the Llanelli Wetland Centre, where you can see flamingos and other wildlife.

Step inside to find yourselves in an airy, open-plan lounge/diner, where you can put your feet up after exploring this scenic corner of South Wales. Find a film on the Smart TV or set up the Xbox in here. Gather round the table for holiday feasts or play a hand or two of cards after dinner. Prepare delicious meals in the kitchen, which is equipped with everything you might need to help you in your endeavours. Also downstairs is a family shower room. Both bedrooms are up on the first floor of the cottage. These include a double and a twin, each with its own TV so you can start the day slowly and appreciate being out of the hustle and bustle of normal life for a time. Take the children and any four-legged friends out to play in the garden when the sun is shining. Cook dinner in the fresh air on pleasant evenings and sit out under the stars on summer evenings.

Head into Swansea to engage in a little retail therapy, dine out in a choice of restaurants or take the children to the cinema or theatre. There is also a tropical zoo and water park here. Have a day out to Mumbles, 13 miles away, where you can walk along the pier, see the castle and potter in the independent shops.

This is a nice cottage with all we needed. It is very suitable for dogs with a large grass area and very off the beaten track. The track to the cottage is quite steep and rough.

The owners were lovely and very welcoming. The road up to the cottage was a shock, it definitely needs careful navigation as there are some good potholes to avoid, and not a road Id want to drive up in the dark. Its really peaceful and somewhere you can enjoy a relaxed holiday away from the stress and bustle of everyday life. The place is a little Read moretired and could use some TLC, but that could be because its late in the season. A good base for exploring around the area. Hide

Lovely little cottage well off the beaten path and a good base for visiting South Wales tourist attractions and beaches. Plenty of local amenities including take-away food and eat-in pubs/carveries. Only issue is that the access road is single track and very bumpy.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location, owners were really friendly and welcoming. Added bonus was the size of the garden with the football goals and trampolines which the kids and puppy loved. Great base to see the local area. Would definitely return.
