This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful and tranquil location. Whilst we had rain most of the week, we still enjoyed our stay. It was nice to see the pigs and goats in the adjacent field. It was well equipped and the shower was amazing, so rejuvenating after our days out.

Spacious and very well equipped accommodation. Facilities, garden and views very good. Local pub very good. Lane from main road to property is long, twisty and undulating. There are a good number of passing points but you do need your wits about you. It is worth it though!

A nice cottage for 2 people in a stunning location. The local village is also a scenic village with interesting features and hosting events such as a flute and piano recital. Local pub about 100M from the cottage is a gem.

We enjoyed a lovely break at this excellent property. It was spacious and comfortable for myself and my wife. The mattress was soft for our liking but wasn't a real problem. The large bedroom had an adjoining bathroom with a very nice shower. The Dragon's Head pub is within walking distance but seems sporadically open. There are some nice local walRead moreks, especially along the river past a 12th-century chestnut tree. If you go there, avoid driving along Llangenny Lane as it's a bit narrow. Hide

We stayed in woodpecker, Cottage is great practically ready to move into if you wanted. Very comfortable and has everything you need. Location is great, many walks in the area great pubs nearby as well. You feel like your in the sticks when in the garden as you cant hear or see any neighbours. It says they have sky but it's only the usual channels,Read more no extra like movies or sports. The mattress needs replacing as one side has a visible dip in it and the sofa isn't big enough to sleep on. Hide

An extremely peaceful week's break at Woodpecker Lodge. The apartment is spacious for two persons and is well equipped. The hosts are welcoming and on hand if needed - without being intrusive. Ideally placed just outside Crickhowell and the Dragons Head pub only half a mile away is ideal for an evening meal if you want to stay local.

We loved Woodpecker Lodge. It is in a peaceful location overlooking the hills. It was well equipped and decorated to a high standard which we appreciated and worthy of 5 stars all round. The local pub The Dragon Head served excellent value for money food but was only open from Thursday onwards.
