Immerse yourselves in the natural beauty of both Herefordshire and Wales when you retreat to this luxurious, barn-style annexe at Twyford Common. Sleeping just two guests and welcoming pups too, the one-bedroom retreat adjoins a farmhouse but benefits from its privacy. Situated 4 miles from the centre of Hereford and 12 miles from the border with Wales, it is also well placed for getting out and about in the Wye Valley and Bannau Brycheiniog, also known as the Brecon Beacons.
Make your way into your private quarters to discover incredible space and style. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is an impressive space, with a high, vaulted ceiling and mezzanine level above. Sink back into the plush soft seating in here, with the wood burner roaring on autumn and winter evenings, and simply relax. Watch your favourite shows on TV, prepare romantic meals for two over in the chic kitchen area and dine in grandeur at the central table. Pull open the glass doors in the main space to let the fresh country air in on fine summer days. The family shower room is also located downstairs. When you are ready to indulge in a fabulous night’s sleep, climb the staircase up to the glass-front gallery where the sumptuous king-size bedroom is situated. Guests at the annexe have access to shared laundry facilities. Have morning coffee out in the shared courtyard on sunny days. Feel free to explore the grounds of the farm. Yoga classes and private use of a hot tub are available at an additional charge.
Venture 4.5 miles into the Wye Valley to follow picturesque footpaths and riverside walks and take canoes out on the water. Head 23 miles to colourful Hay-on-Wye for the day, to browse in bookshops, visit the castle and head out into magnificent Bannau Brycheiniog.
