This coastal bolthole on the edge of Aberdyfi/Aberdovey is the ideal base for large families and groups of friends looking to explore the beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay and the breathtaking scenery of southern Snowdonia. Aberdyfi’s shops, eateries, and sandy beach are within 1 mile, and further afield is the bustling market town of Machynlleth (11 miles). After a day of exploring, sip a sundowner on your private balcony and admire the tranquil coastal views.
The bright and breezy cottage has a reverse-level layout and is decorated in a subtle coastal theme. On the ground floor you’ll find three relaxing bedrooms, along with a shower room and family bathroom. Stairs lead to the first-floor, open-plan lounge/diner, which boasts magnificent coastal vistas. Gather around the dining table for delicious, home-cooked meals, before sinking into the sumptuous sofas in the lounge area to watch the TV/DVD, or play a game from the selection provided. A separate kitchen completes the first floor. French doors open from the living space onto a gorgeous furnished balcony with views across the golf course to the sand dunes beyond. At ground level, there’s a patio with outdoor furniture, leading to a shared garden with ample space for children to play.
Aberdyfi is full of seaside charm, with cute cafes, pubs, and restaurants serving local produce and fresh seafood, as well as art galleries and independent boutiques that are perfect for picking up a little memento from your holiday. A vast, sandy beach provides the ideal spot for picnics and long walks along the shoreline, and the Wales Coast Path offers mile upon mile of hiking routes with fabulous views. Heading into Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), you’ll soon reach iconic beauty spots such as Dolgoch Falls (9 miles) and the dramatic peaks of Cadair Idris (15 miles).
