Stunning apartment above the marina in Y Felinheli, with parking, near Caernarfon and Snowdonia National Park. Families, and the dog, can walk to the pub, shop, join local paths and visit attractions.

Look out over the water and watch the yachts in the marina when you stay at this second-floor apartment at Y Felinheli. Situated 4.5 miles from Bangor and 5 miles from Caernarfon, the two-bedroom getaway is an excellent option for small families or couples seeking a base right at the heart of beautiful North Wales. Welcoming a canine companion too, it is well positioned for coastal and countryside walks and is ideal for days out to Anglesey and the Eryri National Park, also known as Snowdonia.

Let yourselves into the modern building and follow the stairs or take the lift up to the second floor. Enter your private quarters to find bright, stylish accommodation with plenty of contemporary touches. Shuffle off your beach shoes or walking boots in the hall then wander into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Open the doors to the glass-fronted balcony on warm summer days. Unpack any shopping over in the kitchen area then start preparing a delicious dinner to enjoy inside or out. Find a film on the Smart TV or select a game or book from the shelves. When you are ready to head off to bed, wander through to either the double bedroom, which has an en-suite shower room, or the twin. There is also a family bathroom. Soak up the fresh air and the scenery from the balcony on fine summer days. Enjoy a glass of wine out here as the stars begin to appear.

Spend your mornings in Caernarfon, pottering in the shops, choosing between the many eateries and visiting the impressive medieval fortress. Book a cruise out along the Menai Straits from here or take a steam train along the heritage Welsh Highland Railway. Cross over to the Isle of Anglesey to find more beautiful beaches, places of interest and scenic walks.

The balcony is a delight! We stayed for a week, and only on our last evening was it too wet to sit out and enjoy the wonderful sunset views. The apartment is very well arranged, and comfortable, with wonderful places to visit within easy reach. We shall miss the peacock, which serenaded us every day from across the marina!

We had a lovely week in the apartment. It is one of the best accommodations that we have stayed at and we have stayed at a few. We loved the cleanliness of the bathrooms and kitchen areas. We like this area and it well situated to travel around to see the local sites even the Llyn peninsula is less than an hour away. Will definitely book again

We had a lovely week at La Marina, it's well-equipped comfortable and an ideal base for exploring the area. Only issue is The 'cosy' 2nd bedroom. The beds are for children - low & smaller than a regular single divan. ok for me I am 5'5 but my 6'2 sons would not be able to sleep in them. We had a good week in the apartment during July. A couple of points people should be aware of is that access to the Marina is via a road behind the apartment block, this was too steep for my elderly parents to be able to walk down (and back up) and there is no other immediate access to the waterside without the use of a car. Also the second bedroomRead more described as 'cozy' is really only suitable for children, having no other furniture than the twin beds. Otherwise very modern & comfortable. Hide
