This beautiful cottage is perched on the hillside, offering impressive views and easy access into the village on Freshwater East, for a day at the seaside.

This stylishly decorated contemporary cottage is situated on a hillside, providing you with lovely rural views and easy access to the village of Freshwater East, making it an ideal destination for a seaside getaway as a couple or family.

Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by a welcoming hallway with space to store your shoes and coats. The open-plan lounge/diner is situated at the front of the cottage, making the most of the picturesque countryside views. The lounge features a three-seater sofa and an armchair centred around the Smart TV. There’s a dining table for four where you can enjoy your meals or simply relax with a cup of coffee while planning your next adventure. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a delicious meal or a hearty breakfast to start your day. Down the corridor, you’ll find two bedrooms: one super-king-size room and the other a super-king zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin room upon request). Completing the property is a gleaming shower room. Outside, the cottage boasts a spacious, enclosed private garden and patio area, complete with garden furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining.

Take a half-mile wood-lined walk or drive to Freshwater East Beach, which has been honoured with the Green Coast Award. This is one of Pembrokeshire’s finest beaches, boasting vast golden sands and dunes, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration. You can pack a picnic and enjoy a day at the beach, and on your way back to the holiday cottage, treat yourself to an evening meal at the popular village bar and restaurant. Freshwater East is conveniently situated 3.5 miles from Pembroke, where you’ll find a variety of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants, along with the famous Pembroke Castle. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast, there are numerous coastal paths to explore in Pembrokeshire, with walks of varying lengths to suit all abilities.

Fantastic cottage! Really comfy beds. Kitchen really well equipped. They have thought of everything including outdoor shower and storage shed for sandy wetsuits! Highly recommended!

We can only repeat what other reviews have said: Hillside Cottage is very clean and very comfortable, the beds are the best weve slept in, the kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms and bathroom have plenty of storage, the location is perfect, peaceful and quiet, close to the beach and many great places to visit and eat. Best of all, Andy and NickyRead more are great hosts, ready to help, but allowing you complete privacy. We hope to return next year and can highly recommend this property. Hide

The cottage is beautiful with everything needed for a break in this lovely area, within walking distance of Freshwater East beach. Great for beach lovers or walkers with Stackpole Nat Trust nearby. The place is spotless, extremely comfy beds, quality bedding, more kitchen equipment than I have ever seen in a holiday cottage. A lovely peaceful away from it all cottage. Clean, warm and spacious. Beds are comfortable with quality bed linen and plenty of wardrobe space. Bathroom has a huge shower with hot water a plenty. We cooked every night and found everyhing we needed in the kitchen. Comfy seating in the lounge with a great view over the garden and countryside beyond. Clean, tidy & comfortable. We were welcomed by Andy & were left us a few items of food to start us off, which was useful, together with a bottle of Prosecco. A pleasant situation, with only a short walk down to a pub & many footpaths leading down to the beach.

What a lovely week stay here at Hillside cottage. Gorgeous views and a quiet location. Traveling with 2 kids under 5 can always be busy but I can truly say we had a relaxing stay. A well equiped cottage which included a washing machine which was great to get the kids clothes dry! Great for the kids to have some space to explore. We went to FreshwatRead moreer beach (5min drive away), Tenby (15 min drive), Saundersfoot (17 min drive), Manorbier (10 min drive) all gorgeous beaches. Thank you!! Hide

Couldn't have asked for anything more - clean, comfortable, in a lovely location in walking distance from the beach and with a spacious garden. Perfect for our two week stay with a two year old. Helpful correspondence from the owners who made us feel very welcome. We were very sad to leave.

Well presented, tidy and clean, with ample appliances for your holiday. Quite location, not far from the beach, although a very steep incline on your return. Suitably located for exploring south west wales with attractions not to far away by car.

we thoroughly enjoyed our break in Hillside cottage. The beds were so comfortable with high quality linen.The kitchen was well equipped for self catering. the shower was great and easy to use. Hillside Cottage was immaculate and well equipped for our stay. The owners were helpful but respected our privacy while the location was great for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast - a quick walk down to the lovely Freshwater East beach (slightly longer walk back up the hill!) and close to Pembroke and Tenby. Will definitely be booking again!
