The ancient town of Oswestry is 6.5 miles away and is the perfect place for a spot of retail therapy, with lively street markets and an excellent collection of independent shops. The town has a busy calendar of events and is also a popular base for walkers, with the long-distance Offa’s Dyke Path passing just 3 miles away. The small, Welsh town of Chirk (9 miles) is also well worth a visit.
