Set deep in the Monmouthshire countryside, this open-plan bungalow is the perfect base for enjoying the great outdoors.

The stylish bungalow enjoys a rural location, just 2 miles from the historic village of Raglan. The property sleeps four guests and makes a lovely couples’ retreat or base for a small family. Head into the village to explore the quaint shops, cosy pubs, and medieval castle, or journey into Abergavenny (11 miles) or Monmouth (10.5 miles) for a spot of retail therapy. The area is a paradise for walkers with both the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons) and the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within 10 miles.

The property is arranged across one level and has an open-plan layout. The decor is contemporary and large windows really make the most of the breathtaking scenery. The lounge/kitchen/diner is a sociable space, with a large dining table and a cosy lounge area with comfortable seating arranged around a Smart TV. The sleek kitchen area has a breakfast bar and everything you need for a self-catering holiday. In summer, throw open the bi-fold doors to the terrace to further extend the living space. The property has two elegant bedrooms: a king-size with increased accessibility and an en-suite wet room, and a twin with an en-suite shower room. Outside, you’ll find a sunny, raised terrace for al fresco dining, and an enclosed lawn for playing outdoor games.

Abergavenny is known for its wonderful selection of independent pubs, cafes, and restaurants. The town also hosts regular markets and is a great place to pick up local produce for your dinner. There are some lovely walks in and around the town, including along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and to the summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain. For a fun family day out, head to Raglan Farm Park (2.5 miles), where you’ll find friendly farm animals, outdoor play areas, and trampolines.

Quiet location; very well appointed, 5 minutes off the Main A40 road, so links to Brecons, Chepstow, Cardiff etc is easy, however the 1 mile to the property down a narrow country lane effectively plants you in the middle of the countryside. You can't hear any traffic, apart from the odd tractor going past. Nice walk from property through the fieldsRead more to Raglan castle. Fabulous food at nearby Hall Inn and Cripple Creek Inn. If you have limited mobility or use a wheel chair this property works well. Hide

A superb property with respect to accommodation and facilities - also ideal for anyone with mobility problems ie easy access, all on one level, main bedroom with en suite wet room, plenty of space inside for wheelchair manoeuvrability. A beautiful and peaceful location, yet only 7 miles to Abergavenny and the main roads are brilliant to Cardiff, NeRead morewport etc. We will certainly stay again if in this area . There is a wharf nearby that has a wheelchair accessible canal boat that does trips and it has a lift to take you down onto the boat it was very good for me as I am a wheelchair user and blind and I would definitely recommend it to anyone and the property itself was lovely
