While away summer days out in the exquisite garden at this welcoming holiday home in North Wales. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom retreat is ideal for small families or two couples together, especially if they wish to bring a four-legged friend with them. Nestled in undulating, verdant surroundings near Pentre-llyn-cymmer, it is 11 miles from Ruthin and 9.5 miles from Pentrefoelas and the fringes of magnificent Eryri, also known as the Snowdonia National Park.
Make your way into the friendly abode, slipping off your wellies and walking boots in the hall. Head into the kitchen to make a fresh cup of coffee in the machine to enjoy with a slice of the traditional Welsh bara brith bread you have bought on your last trip out. Gather in the lounge to watch the Smart TV while the wood burner crackles gently on winter days. Sit down to lively meals in the dining area then challenge each other to table football in the games/utility room. A family wet room is also downstairs. Wander upstairs to the cosy library/snug, where there is a day bed to enjoy a few minutes to yourself over a book. A king-size bedroom, a double and a family bathroom are also all up on the first floor of the detached cottage. Spill outside on summer days. Have a glass of wine by the river as the sun sets over the hills, keeping an eye on children and pets at all times.
Strike out on walks from the doorstep or head into Eryri to discover more exciting hikes and trails. Follow the circular 9.5-mile route around Llyn Brenug, 3 miles away, where there are more than 2,500 acres of forest, moorland and lake to enjoy. Llyn Alwen Reservoir, 2 miles away, is also a very scenic place to explore.
