Alternatively, spend a relaxing afternoon in the Georgian market town of Welshpool, wandering along the towpath of the Montgomery Canal or riding on the heritage steam train. For horticulture enthusiasts, a visit to the fabulous Italian Renaissance garden at Powis Castle, 12.5 miles away, is a must.

We had the most perfect stay for our mums 80th at the beginning of December. Our host Neil and Family couldnt have done any more for us. They were on hand if we needed them and promptly. It was excellent value for money in a beautiful location. We stayed with all our family, 16 in total and we enjoyed every minute. Kids enjoyed visiting the Shetland ponies, alpacas and the goat. Host was amazing, even gave us food as the alpacas were fussy. Would definitely recommend this place.

Had wonderful stay location and outside space amazing for kids and dogs . Only issue was the lack of sound proofing the noise carried from one side of barn to other so if one was up you were all up . Would return again if adults only or older children that will stay in bed later than 5am .
