Benefiting from proximity to Snowdonia walking territory and the Wales Coast Path, this rural retreat is a superb base for all sorts of North Wales adventure stays. Made for a family of four, the first-floor property makes up part of a larger barn conversion and offers a shared games room that younger visitors will love and a sunny shared garden for evenings in the sun. Overlooking Cardigan Bay, Benar Beach is just 1.5 miles away and offers sandy shores for summer days and fantastic Morfa Dyffryn National Nature Reserve wildlife to spot when hiking or biking throughout the colder months. When it’s cold you’ll always look forward to returning home and switching on the fire in the warm and cosy lounge.
Head on up via the external staircase and let yourselves in. The kitchen greets you straight away and is equipped with all the facilities required to cook something delicious, ideally with locally sourced produce gathered on your travels. When food is ready, step on through to the kitchen/diner to sit down together. Both bedrooms are located just down the hallway and each one has its own en-suite bathroom for that additional touch of privacy. Curl up in the cosy king-size or the snug twin and get ready for 8-hours of peaceful, uninterrupted rest.
You’re well-positioned to explore other glorious beaches along the coastal path from this handy location, including Harlech Beach (6 miles) to the north and Barmouth (6 miles) down south. The latter is a must-visit seaside town with pubs, eateries and great walking routes from its centre, particularly along the Afon Estuary and into the Snowdonia hills. Along this route, you can also reach the Coed y Brenin Forest Park (20 miles), a sprawling woodland and forest area with incredible trails, waterfalls and mountain biking opportunities.
