A charming and characterful bungalow set at the foot of the wonderful Harlech Castle on the fringes of Snowdonia National Park. Groups of eight guests can spend days exploring before retreating to this home and dining alfresco in the enclosed garden or cosying up in the lounge in front of the fire.

This stylish home is super welcoming and is thoughtfully decorated throughout. Place your walking boots and sandy shoes in the hallway, before heading into the comfortable and bright living area. There is plenty of seating space, a TV, and an electric fire to keep you warm on chilly nights. The practical and well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to rustle up meals that can be eaten together around the dining table. When you are ready to get some much-needed rest, choose from one of four en-suite bedrooms, there are two doubles, and two twin bedrooms. Dine alfresco and enjoy an evening tipple in the enclosed paved garden that sits in the rockface of the castle above.

You can enjoy both the Welsh countryside and coastline from this wonderful retreat. The town of Harlech has a range of shops and eateries, as well as a beautiful sandy beach backed by dunes. The castle sits atop a rocky crag overlooking the beach and has far-reaching views of the Snowdonia mountains. Take a trip on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway (5 miles) which stretches from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog passing stunning views through mountains and forests. If you are feeling particularly adventurous, don your walking boots and climb Yr Wyddfa (17 miles).

Great cottage, very well equipped, clean & central. Amazing that all bedrooms have an ensuite, made it comfortable & accessible for all in our party. Lovely area, lovely beach close by, & only 20 mins or less from Barmouth & Porthmadog for day trips. Only negative would be the lack of eating out options we experienced in the evening for our party fRead moreor 8, which included 3 children, even though it was July. Hide

Great location with everything we needed. Very convenient for visiting the area- especially for access to the local railway. Plenty of space to park. Really good communication with the owner and he popped by after a day to check that everything was ok. Great cottage which we would recommend to anyone.
