This romantic retreat for two is the perfect base for couples seeking a relaxing coastal getaway. The property is in the quaint village of Penally, on the Pembrokeshire Coast, and the colourful seaside town of Tenby is just 1 mile away via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. After a day of exploring, sip a sundowner in the shared garden as the sun sets over the bay.
The ground floor apartment is reached via a flight of external steps. Once inside, you’ll discover a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a floor-to-ceiling window framing stunning coastal views. To the rear of the room is a stylish kitchen area for creating tasty dishes, which can be shared at the breakfast bar or dining table. In the evenings, chill out on the sofa (which is a sofa bed and can accommodate two further guests if required) with your favourite book or a classic film on the Smart TV. When it’s time for bed, head along the corridor to the king-size bedroom, which boasts tranquil views across the golf course and out to sea. A sleek, wet room-style shower room completes the coastal bolthole. Outside, soak up the sea air in the shared, lawned garden, where you’ll find furniture for al fresco dining.
Tenby is a vibrant coastal town, with a maze of narrow streets within its medieval town walls. Spend a relaxing afternoon pottering around the boutiques and galleries, before enjoying a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants or a stroll along one of the town’s four sandy beaches. If you fancy getting out on the water, head to the harbour to board a coastal cruise or take a boat trip to Caldey Island. There are some fabulous coastal walks in the area, with the stretch from Tenby to Saundersfoot being particularly picturesque.
