This traditional stone-built barn sits among the rolling hills of the Wye Valley National Landscape, close to The Forest of Dean. This retreat is ideal for four friends or a family and has a lovely mezzanine landing with a seating area and a quirky outdoor patio space.

Situated on the owner's grounds, this beautifully presented barn is welcoming and spacious. Head inside and leave your walking boots in the garage before finding yourself in the stylish and colourful kitchen/diner. Prepare picnics or create and eat culinary delights in this contemporary space. Kick back and relax in the bright and characterful living room, set beneath a beamed ceiling and boasting large picture windows. Flick on the TV or get competitive over one of the provided board games. Finishing up the ground floor is an elegant bathroom that has a walk-in shower. The open staircase leads up to a mezzanine floor where you can curl up on one of the armchairs and get stuck into a good book. The two bedrooms are in the eaves of the barn with sloped ceilings and Velux windows. Choose from a double bedroom or a twin bedroom, both with ample storage space. Outside through the lounge's patio doors is a quirky patio space with comfortable seating surrounded by mature plants.

Set on the fringes of Peterstow, there are a couple of pubs and a handy convenience store less than 0.5 miles away, and you can head off on foot or bike and explore the stunning surroundings of the luscious countryside. From waterside strolls to challenging trails, there is something for everyone in this spectacular part of the Welsh countryside. You will also be close to the picturesque market towns of Ross-on-Wye (2.5 miles) and Monmouth (9 miles).

Wren's Nest is a spacious and comfortable cottage and the four of us found it to be an ideal base for our week's holiday exploring the local area. We received a truly warm greeting from our excellent hosts, Peter and Judy who welcomed us with some seasonal produce from their garden, and some of Judy's lovely homemade treats. This is a great holiday property in a good location to access all the activities available in the Wye Valley. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property is well equipped and the hosts have made extra effort to ensure that comfort is a priority. Lots of little extras to make our stay special.

Great location to base yourself if you are wanting to explore the wye valley. Lovely large barn with all the amenities you need and very comfortable. Peaceful quiet location but still within a stones throw of Ross on wye. Hosts are great. Welcoming and extremely helpful. Very knowledgeable about the area which helps if you are needing guidance. Wonderful, restful holiday. Peter and Judy made us extremely welcome with fresh eggs, milk and homemade cake on arrival! Nothing was too much trouble to them. Lovely spacious lounge perfect for relaxing and snoozing. Well appointed cottage, with everything we could possibly need. Set in a beautiful, quiet hamlet.
