This gorgeous wooden lodge, with beautiful views, is ideal for couples looking for a relaxing holiday and a romantic retreat. Machynlleth, with its shops and eateries, is 5 miles away. You are perfectly placed to discover the coast and countryside of this scenic part of North Wales. Aberdyfi (6.5 miles) has three miles of sandy beach to enjoy and offers sailing and paddleboarding opportunities and a golf club if you prefer to stay on dry land.

Walk through the park up to this beautiful lodge, with exterior steps to the deck. Step into the stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with patio doors, coastal hues, and themed art on the wall. A contemporary kitchen has all the appliances you need to rustle up a romantic meal or a picnic, and a back door opens to the rear garden. The lounge offers a relaxing space with a comfortable sofa to sit back and watch a film on the Smart TV. The king-size bedroom offers lovely views to wake up to. A shower room with WC completes the features of this pretty property. Outside, you can enjoy a front deck with a table and chairs, while at the back is a bench and a BBQ to enjoy some al fresco dining while admiring the mountains and the valleys, often with sheep and their lambs in springtime.

Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park is on your doorstep, and the South Snowdonia National Trust gateway site is 25 miles away. Within the park, you can enjoy outdoor pursuits, including walking, climbing, cycling, water sports and fishing as you discover the mountains, waterfalls, lakes, and coastline. A more relaxing approach is to take the Talyllyn Railway (11 miles), a historic narrow-gauge steam railway running from Tywyn to Abergynolwyn and Nant Gwernol – stopping at Dolgoch Falls station. A lovely coastal spot for nature lovers is the Ynslas Nature Reserve (18.5 miles), where you can walk in the dunes and keep an eye out for the wildlife.

We have a lovely honeymoon week staying here. There was absolutely everything provided. If you forgot something it was here. There was also welcome milk and bread and butter and coffee. It was super clean and well decorated. It did take a while to figure out how to use the new hob but every manual was provided. I enjoyed the bedside lamp with its cRead morehanging colours. We arrived in the dark, due to unforseen circumstances, so it was difficult to locate the chalet. The views were wonderful. Hide
