This charming retreat in rural South Shropshire offers a novel holiday hideaway for two. A trio of traditional shepherds' huts allows guests a chance to live close to nature while enjoying the comforts of mod cons. The huts separately house a bedroom, a shower room and a kitchen/diner, set on a secluded plot in a 12-acre smallholding. There's an extra bed for children if needed and a dog is also welcome. A wealth of wonderful walking and cycling trails is on your doorstep, with the scenic Clee Hills just 3 miles away, and the historic Ludlow within 8 miles.
The huts are beautifully furnished, with unspoiled countryside views. The first has a delightful floral theme and houses a built-in double bed, a small dresser and a cosy wood burner. An adjacent hut provides a wood-fired cooker, plus a camping-style gas stove, with a dining table that cleverly doubles up as a children's bedroom for two. Behind the huts is the third with a spacious shower and WC. Outside is a decked area with outdoor furniture and a large fire pit/BBQ, ideal for al fresco dining and star gazing on cloudless nights. There is also a Hikki Wood Fired Hot Tub available to use (logs can be purchased on site).
A pub and shop are within 3 miles, while Ludlow is a haven for foodies, with a market, independent shops, restaurants and cafes all championing delicious local produce. The picturesque town has a wonderful architectural heritage and lots to explore, with splendid timber-framed and stone buildings, a fine museum and an impressive medieval castle high above the River Teme. Discover specialist shops, galleries and a delightful picnic spot by the river on Millennium Green by Dinham Bridge. The Linney Riverside Park includes a children's play area, while Ludlow Leisure Centre has an excellent swimming pool.
