This single-storey cottage (one of three in a terrace) has a tastefully decorated, open-plan living space which is bright, welcoming and comfortable. A slate floor delineates the kitchen/diner, with its fitted cupboards and adjacent timber dining table and chairs. The lounge has wooden floorboards and simple white walls - an inviting place to snuggle in front of the wood burner with a book or while watching the Smart TV/DVD. When you start to feel sleepy, the spacious double bedroom offers co-ordinating wooden furniture and a dressing table/work space and chair, while the pretty twin room has an integrated wardrobe and a TV. They share a sleek shower room with a large, walk-in shower. For an alfresco drink or meal accompanied by superb views of Eryri- Snowdonia and the Anglesey coast, head to the front of the cottage, where there’s an open patio area with a picnic bench. For guests wishing to explore the area’s cycle trails, bike storage is available.
The cottage is located about 3 miles from the lively city of Bangor, where there are shops, cafes, a Victorian pier and an arts centre. On its outskirts you’ll find the popular family attraction GreenWood Family Park, and the National Trust’s Penrhyn Castle & Garden. Zip World at Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda, 5 miles, is home to the fastest zip line in the world, and Llanberis, the starting point for walks or a train journey to the summit of Snowdon, is also 5 miles.
