Located in the village of Dinas Mawddwy on the edge of Snowdonia National Park is this delightful pet-friendly end terrace cottage, with the towns of Dolgellau and Machynlleth and the coast all within easy reach. There’s great walking from the door, a spacious garden, and heaps of activities nearby, making this an ideal base for friends or family, plus a furry family member.
The cottage is deceptively spacious and has stylish, welcoming interiors and gorgeous original features. Each room has a gentle, welcoming feel to it, hang your coat in the hall and go through to the sitting room. Relax on the comfy seating placed by an open fire for cosy nights in, enjoy a family night in watching entertainment on the TV, Xbox or DVD player. The lovely, light fitted kitchen has a breakfast table for mealtimes and there’s a separate dining room too, with a wood burner to warm up cold evenings. Up the narrow staircase are the two double bedrooms, both are bright and decorated in stylish hues. Bedroom one has a pretty ornamental fire place and bedroom two has a single trundle bed suitable for a small child. There’s also a spacious bathroom with a bath and separate shower. To the side and back of the house is a steeply sloping natural garden, which extends above the outhouse (which you’re welcome to use store bikes) so please supervise young children and pets outside.
Get out and explore the wonderful mountain scenery on foot with Fido by your side on the picturesque walks nearby. There’s more beautiful scenery over the pass to Dolgellau (10 miles away) and pretty walks along the Dyfi valley. You’ll also find lovely beaches and seaside towns in Snowdonia, including Barmouth (19 miles), Tywyn (23 miles) and Aberdyfi (24 miles). Dinas Mawddwy is home to a pub and hotel bars and restaurants, plus there’s a pub at nearby Mallwyd (1 mile).
