A beautiful, relaxing setting awaits you at this converted barn in the middle of stunning Welsh countryside just 1 mile from the village of Berriew with incredible views. It’s all on one level, with three single steps inside, and has flexible sleeping with a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room that can sleep two more guests – perfect for friends or family looking for a rural retreat with their furry friend in tow.
Sitting close to barns and the owner’s farmhouse, this barn conversion has lots of character with high vaulted ceilings, wooden features, and generously sized rooms. Kick back on the sofas in the light and airy living room, with Freesat TV and a DVD player, and a dining area with gorgeous views. Next door is the large kitchen; it has all mod cons and a table and chairs for mealtimes together. Both pretty bedrooms have handy storage and en-suites: the double has an en-suite shower room and the twin an en-suite bathroom, there’s also a separate cloakroom/WC. Outside, soak up the gorgeous views and plan the day’s activities from the picnic bench on the small lawn.
There are local amenities in Berriew (1 mile away), including two pubs, a butcher, a cafe and a village shop, and the village is also home to the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture. There’s lots to see and do in Welshpool (7 miles) too. Spend the day exploring Powis Castle, take a trip on the Welshpool-Llanfair Steam Railway, and visit Powisland Museum to learn about the area. You and your canine companion will find lots of stunning walks nearby, there’s also a leisure centre and swimming pool in Welshpool, and a golf course 2 miles further on.
