We had a lovely stay in the property. The owners were very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. We found all the things we needed in the well equipped kitchen and we found some BBQ utensils too. The top attic rooms were perfect for the 4 kids, and we used the supplied stair gate in one bedroom doorway to keep the youngest off the stairs. The livingRead more room was comfortable in the evenings and the hot tub was well used. The dining room comfortably accommodated our party of 10 for meals together. The garden space was smaller than we were expecting, but it didnt really matter to us as the weather was a bit too wet to get out in the garden. There was a rear section to the property that was locked off that would accommodate a larger group than ours. We did wonder if another group may be using the other part of the house as there was a separate kitchen, dining area and bedrooms, but I believe this is just opened up for larger groups. Despite a fairly rainy week, we found enough things to do locally to keep us busy. Unfortunately the mentioned lockable storage for bikes was not available as the garage was full, so our bikes had to sit out in the rain all week, but we were not concerned about the security of them at the house. There was a pavement directly from the house to the local town about 2 miles away, and a pavement to the local pub within a mile, although we did not try the pub! We loved the feeling of space in and around the property and the views from the front of the house were stunning. We would certainly consider returning again, possibly with a larger group to make full use of the property. Hide
