Set in a unique Victorian village with its own private and secluded beach, escape to this peaceful seaside hideaway to enjoy breathtaking sea, mountain and forest views from almost every window, and explore everything the scenic side of the northern coast of the Llyn Peninsula has to offer.

You won’t feel too far away from your rugged surroundings in the L-shaped open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner adorned with a colour palette of greens and natural earthy tones, perfectly reflecting your wild surrounding scenery. With no TV, disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with loved ones by relaxing on the comfy leather sofas, cooking a locally sourced feast in the kitchen or enjoying a games night around the handmade dining table. The underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, and the king-size bedroom on this floor, is a welcome treat to tired walking toes. Indulge in superb sea views across the three bedrooms upstairs, which are just as charming as the ground floor. Outside, there’s a shared lawn and patio for you to soak up the magnificent sea views. From the grounds, you can venture along the winding path that leads you to a private pebbled beach with a café.

The Victorian former quarrying village of Nant Gwrtheyrn is steeped in history, home to the Heritage Centre, which houses displays about the Welsh language and wildlife, preserving the rich unspoilt culture this area has to offer. The cottages have been very sympathetically converted and are simple, comfortable and warm. If you want peace and quiet, with marvellous views, this is the place for you. It even has a lovely little cafe onsite, whose staff were very friendly. However, the descent to the beach may be challenging for people with reduced mobility and I found the descRead moreent/ascent to and from the site daunting - mostly because I was driving a rather elderly car and don't have a head for heights! The cottage was quite spacious and clean with almost everything you need. There is no television and the phone signal is non-existent, but wi-fi is available, so you can still keep in touch using messaging apps. There was no hair dryer and no bath, only showers. The views and location are exceptional and the staff we encountered were very friendly Read moreand helpful. Hide

We loved staying at Nant-Llandaf. The cottage was clean and lovely. The beds comfy and the complimentary soaps a real treat. The setting was peaceful, with plenty of outdoor space for our children to play, and the general feel was very calm and relaxed.

A reasonably well appointed, comfortable cottage, sympathetically restored and converted from the ruins of the 1960/70s. In a unique setting twixt sky and sea that will excite the mind of anyone interested in social/industrial history.
