Offering panoramic views over the Dyfi Valley towards the Snowdonia mountains, the design of the chic little cabin outside Machynlleth was inspired by the Welsh slate industry, so it fits effortlessly into its natural surroundings. Sleeping two people in one bedroom, it’s the ideal country retreat for a romantic couple in search of peace and tranquillity in the Welsh countryside. With its clever, compact design, this cabin sits on a working farm and was showcased on the ‘Cabins in the Wild’ TV series. You’ll love waking up to the stunning views from your bed, and spending romantic evenings snuggling in front of the pot-bellied wood burner.

Step inside and you’ll discover a wonderful space bathed in natural light. Rustle up some dinner in the kitchenette and dine at the handy pull-out table. After dinner, enjoy a glass of wine on the deck, or get cosy on the sofa and take in the amazing views of Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy. When it’s time for bed, the sofa transforms into a king-size bed at the touch of a button. In the morning, start your day with a coffee in bed. The bed elevates at the touch of a button so you can get the very best views from where you’re lying.

Grab your hiking boots and challenge yourself to the climb up Aran Fawddwy (9 miles). Along the way you’ll see the awesome crags of Cwm Cywarch, as well as excellent views of the Rhinog Mountains. Alternatively, head into Machynlleth (7 miles) to visit its Museum of Modern Art or the Centre for Alternative Technology. There are plenty of quirky boutiques and alternative lifestyle stores to check out there too.

A beautiful, cosy cabin with stunning views and welcoming hosts. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for some peace and quiet away from it all. The only downside is to get those views, it's a steep uphill walk back from the local pub but definitely worth it. We'll surely be back.

Wonderful cabin set in spectacular location, scenery is beautiful and the picture window perfectly frames it so always in view. The cabin is comfortable and well equipped, the host was friendly to communicate with and we'd happily stay here again.

Cabin Llechi is an absolutely amazing stay. Me and my partner stayed for 2 nights during a cold, windy and rainy November weekend and the cabin was amazing for this. The ability to light a wood burning fire to warm up the cabin was incredible and the cabin kept its heat very well. The views were breathtaking and it was nice to sit up and watch tRead morehe sheep whilst in bed. Its the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a little Oasis away from the busy world for some peace and quiet. It is close enough to some nice areas such as Aberdyfi for a walk in the hills and along the beach. The owner was very accommodating and even offered a later check out, due to the fact that home was having some horrendous weather. We were told we can stay as long as we want and travel back when its safe and we were able to do so. Hide

Beautiful little place to spend the weekend getting away from the hustle and bustle. Cabin was outfitted to a modern high standard. Slept surprisingly well despite the heatwave as the cabin temperature cooled down in the evening. Location is gorgeous. Directions were easy to follow. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to a friend

The cabin was clean, well equipped and we loved how well the space was used. The views were out of this world and was nice seeing the sheep every morning. Owners were attentive and checked everything was OK on arrival but gave us plenty of space. Local village a mile away but the pub was closed on a Monday and there wasn't much else there so anythiRead moreng worth seeing is a drive away. This didn't bother us but it would have been nice to get a drink within walking distance of the cabin. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. Hide
