Prepare to be wowed by the scenery surrounding this gorgeous Welsh cottage, located halfway between Fishguard and St Davids (9 miles) and within the Pembrokeshire National Park. You can spend relaxed days walking along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path (350 metres) with your pet and join National Cycle Route 400 metres away if cycling is more your thing. This generously sized property has space for up to 11 guests over four bedrooms, so would make an ideal location for a multi-generational family trip or celebration among friends. Up to three dogs are also welcome to join, too.
The cottage has a striking white facade that’s typical of rural Welsh dwellings, and is surrounded by a large garden as well as backing onto a field that’s ideal for children to play in. There’s plenty of space for everyone to relax, either in the cosy lounge or the dining room which has room for up to 12 to eat together. The decor is cheerful and welcoming, and there are books, a TV and DVDs available to keep you amused. All of the bedrooms are en-suite for your convenience. In warm weather, you can enjoy BBQs out on the slate patio, where there are picnic tables for al fresco dining.
At Abercastle, 350 metres away, you can wander along the sand and shingle beach and have a picnic at this pretty cove. The popular Whitesands beach, 10 miles away, is well known for its safe swimming and clean sand – and is also popular with surfers. At St Davids, Britain’s smallest city, you may like to look around the gothic cathedral before popping into a cafe for lunch.
