Enjoy the very best of West Wales when you head off to this cottage where the poet Dylan Thomas is said to have stayed. Situated at the heart of the charming village of Llansteffan, the three-bedroom property is just 200 metres from the estuary beach where you can walk and play on the sand. Sleeping six guests, and with a gorgeous garden, where you can pick fresh fruit and vegetables, the cottage is just 1 mile from Scott’s Bay, where you can swim.

Let yourself into the cottage to discover colourful interiors and interesting furnishings. Head through to the lounge to light a roaring open fire and settle down in front of the TV. Other members of your party might like to spend time in the second lounge, with its library and grand piano. The dining room, with another sofa that can be transformed into a bed, has a wood burner that you can fire up before sitting down to jolly meals together. The modern kitchen has everything you might require for whipping up tasty dishes with your own provisions, and there is also a utility room. The bedrooms, a king-size, a double and a twin, are all up on the first floor of the cottage, together with the family bathroom, which has a roll-top bath. Spill out into the courtyard garden to dine in the sunshine or take in the sea views from the far patio. Stroll through the kitchen garden, choosing produce for lunch. Parking is on the street, subject to availability.

Walk up to the dramatic ruins of Llansteffan Castle to take in the sweeping coastal vistas. Pick up the Wales Coast Path here too and follow it for a spell alongside the Towy Estuary. Have a day out to the National Botanic Gardens, 16.5 miles away.

This spacious well situated house steeped in history was very welcoming for our 3 generations. Everything you needed was there and we were comfortable throughout. We would certainly return.

This cottage oozes charm and character. It feels like a home from home with thoughtful equipment and supplies. The village and beaches are wonderful. Highly recommend getting pizza from the Village Shop and enjoying both Llansteffan beach and Scott's Bay, just a short walk along the coastal path.

Lovely spacious yet cosy house which was clean, tidy and so homely. Very comfy beds with high quality bed linen. Everything we needed was there, including a well equipped kitchen, a laundry room, outside seating areas in the pretty garden, good Wi-Fi, a smart tv with access to Amazon Prime and Disney, a great selection of books, dvds/cds, games, jRead moreigsaws and sheet music for the baby grand piano! There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, too. The location was perfect for us with nearby walks and the beach less than 10 minutes walk away where theres a caf (very limited opening though) and Florries takeaway snacks and ice cream kiosks where we got good fish and chips to eat on the beach. Within under 5 minutes of the house (on foot) there is a restaurant, a pub and a pizzeria - all excellent - as well as a shop/caf. Everyone we came into contact with was friendly and welcoming. On road parking right outside the front door. Hide

What a beautiful cottage, in an amazing location. It has a very rural feel and is only a short walking distance to a stunning beach. I will definitely be returning to this idilic setting again next year.
