Expect the unique at this wonderfully-quirky cabin sitting on a farm just outside the village of Mydroilyn. Sleeping two people in one bedroom, it’s the ideal accommodation option for romantic couples in search of a one-of-a-kind cabin by a beautiful lake. Featured on the ’Cabins in the Wild’ TV series, it offers a truly unique opportunity to see Wales through its architecturally-striking eye-shaped window. Add to that its unique stainless steel shingles that resemble dragon’s scales, and it’s clear that this glamping studio will fire the imagination of everyone who stays there.
Wake up in the large rotating bed and take in the stunning country views through the full-height eye-shaped window. Kick off your day with a coffee on the cabin’s elevated patio, before you head off to explore Cardigan Bay for the day. Come home and cook up a romantic meal for two on the camping stove, or make your way to the communal roofed area (shared with three pods and one cabin) and fire up the pizza oven. After dinner take a dip in the shared hot tub (book your time slots on arrival), enjoy a glass of wine by the fire pit on your elevated patio, or retire to your cabin to ‘cwtch’ (cuddle) by the wood burner. When it’s time for bed, turn the rotating bed around from the world so that the dragon – and you - can sleep tight.
Pack up a picnic and head to the nearest beach, Cei Bach (6 miles), and keep your eyes peeled for seals and red kites. Alternatively, head to the pretty harbour town of Aberaeron (8 miles) and you’ll find plenty of brightly-painted Georgian buildings and a charming craft centre. Or head to New Quay (7 miles), hop onto a boat and go dolphin-spotting.
