Escape to this idyllic cottage on the slopes of the Black Mountain in the breathtaking Brecon Beacons National Park. Sleeping four people over two bedrooms, this lovely property is set on a working farm - making it the ideal accommodation option for small families or groups of friends who love the great outdoors. Spend happy days strolling through the farm’s 20 acres of ancient woodland, and star-filled evenings in the garden. The cottage sits in the heart of an International Dark Sky Reserve.

Step inside this pretty stone cottage, slip onto a sofa and make yourself at home. When it’s time for dinner, head to the light and bright kitchen and whip up something tasty for your loved ones. Dine at the table in the open-plan lounge/diner, or head out to the garden and dine alfresco. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine and watch the stars come out, or head back indoors to stretch out in front of the TV. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms upstairs.

There are plenty of animals to meet on the farm – and you can even stable your own horses there. This area is a rider’s paradise and the property even has a bridleway going through the farm and up onto the mountain. Animal lovers will also love watching the red kites soaring in the skies above the farm. The Red Kite Feeding Centre is located just 3.5 miles away. Further afield, head into the market town of Brecon (23 miles) for the day to browse the shops, visit its beautiful cathedral and stroll along the canal towpath. The cottage was outstanding. The owners should be proud of themselves for what they gave achieved. It's a beautiful place with everything thing you need. The owners go that extra bit by supplying little everyday bits and bobs ( tea, coffee, washing up liquid, kitchen roll etc. Plus eggs and tastey homemade maltilda cakes). A lovely garden andRead more seating area. We loved everything about it. Hide

Bramble Cottage is probably one of the loveliest cottages we have stayed in. In a beautiful area and so peaceful. It is beautifully decorated and very well equipped with everything you need. Sarah & John our exceptional hosts and were very helpful throughout our stay. It was lovely to arrive somewhere and find the cottage was exactly as describedRead more with the enclosed garden and field to exercise our rescue Lurcher. If you are looking for peace & quiet in a remote area this is the cottage for you. There are no local amenities or pubs/restaurants close by -so make sure you come prepared with supplies or book an on-line shop. Thank you Sarah & John :) Hide

The cottage is beautifully finished and has all the essentials for your stay plus a few personal touches added in. The garden and outdoor area is a lovely place to sit and relax and was great that it was fully secure for our dog to roam around freely. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
