Escape to this idyllic cottage on the slopes of the Black Mountain in the breathtaking Brecon Beacons National Park. Sleeping four people over two bedrooms, this lovely property is set on a working farm - making it the ideal accommodation option for small families or groups of friends who love the great outdoors. Spend happy days strolling through the farm’s 20 acres of ancient woodland, and star-filled evenings in the garden. The cottage sits in the heart of an International Dark Sky Reserve.

Step inside this pretty stone cottage, slip onto a sofa and make yourself at home. When it’s time for dinner, head to the light and bright kitchen and whip up something tasty for your loved ones. Dine at the table in the open-plan lounge/diner, or head out to the garden and dine alfresco. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine and watch the stars come out, or head back indoors to stretch out in front of the TV. When it’s time for bed, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms upstairs.

There are plenty of animals to meet on the farm – and you can even stable your own horses there. This area is a rider’s paradise and the property even has a bridleway going through the farm and up onto the mountain. Animal lovers will also love watching the red kites soaring in the skies above the farm. The Red Kite Feeding Centre is located just 3.5 miles away. Further afield, head into the market town of Brecon (23 miles) for the day to browse the shops, visit its beautiful cathedral and stroll along the canal towpath. We have a large field (with mountain views) dedicated for dog walking

Everything was perfect. We need peace and quiet and a few days out to enjoy the wonderful scenery and everything fitted the bill. Then to rest and relax in the lovely cottage at the end of the day was just bliss.
