Traditional cottage styling comes with excellent additions for some relaxing leisure time at this peaceful two-bedroom property. Set within 40 acres of beautiful Ceredigion countryside, the fun facilities here include a hot tub, sauna and a shared games room!

Located with one other holiday cottage within the owner’s spacious grounds, this characterful cottage offers a warm welcome from the moment you step inside. A striking stone fireplace with a wood burner sets the scene for relaxing evenings in the comfortable lounge/diner – in warmer weather, throw open the patio doors for fresh air and countryside views. The contemporary kitchen has all you need for a fuss-free stay, and completing the ground floor layout are two traditionally furnished bedrooms – one with a double bed and the other with twins – each offering more fabulous views. Revive and refresh in the Swedish sauna with a Bluetooth speaker and a shower room at the rear of the property, or enjoy a soothing soak in the family bathroom upstairs. Also on this upper level is a peaceful snug area with a sofa bed and TV – an ideal spot for children to play independently. The surrounding countryside is rich in wildlife – sit on the patio at the front of the cottage and you could see red kites soaring overhead. To the rear is an undercover BBQ area and to the side is a field where children can play; also within the grounds is a games room – shared with the other holiday cottage – where you can play pool and table football, and an outdoor tennis table set is available too. When you’re worn out after all that activity, sit back in the hot tub and gaze at the starry night sky – sheer bliss!

Holiday here and you’re only a mile from Devil’s Bridge, where there’s a pub, cafe, chocolate factory (and shop!) as well the famous waterfalls. Take a walk around the ancient wooden gorge, or enjoy a ride on the Vale of Rheidol Railway through 12 miles of beautiful scenery to the seaside town of Aberystwyth. Stroll along the seafront and visit the iconic castle ruins while you’re here, or experience a different form of travel courtesy of The Aberystwyth Electric Cliff Railway – the view from its summit is stunning!

A great, relaxing break! Well equipped with everything we needed. Made great use of the sauna and hot tub. Great chatting with Jane and Edrid who both made us very welcome. We enjoyed the Welcome Pack, especially the local Welsh honey. A great weekday menu and Sunday lunch at the Halfway Inn, less than 4 miles away. Close to Devils Bridge.

2nd year of going now. Married couple. 37-41 yrs old. Very chaotic and busy lives. This is just what is needed. Just driving up the driveway now makes us feel so chilled out. It's a home away from home now. Jane and Edrid are the perfect hosts and cannot do enough for you. Waking up to those views every morning is amazing and the whole cottage itseRead morelf is completely idyllic. Would completely recommend to anyone wanting complete relaxation. Also, just a quick 20min drive into the main town. If you want to have a few drinks in the town and leave the driving to the professionals then it's around 30 in a taxi each way. Already booked again for next year. Hide

We had a great week staying at the property. It was ideal for our family with a games room and hot tub, the accommodation was clean and all we needed. The location was ideal and scenery just breath taking. We did have a few mornings with rain but no one can control that and didn't stop us from getting out and about. Our hosts were great, checking iRead moren on us making sure we had everything we needed and sharing some local information. I would quite happily recommend a stay here for family and friends. Hide
