Traditional cottage styling comes with excellent additions for some relaxing leisure time at this peaceful two-bedroom property. Set within 40 acres of beautiful Ceredigion countryside, the fun facilities here include a hot tub, sauna and a shared games room!
Located with one other holiday cottage within the owner’s spacious grounds, this characterful cottage offers a warm welcome from the moment you step inside. A striking stone fireplace with a wood burner sets the scene for relaxing evenings in the comfortable lounge/diner – in warmer weather, throw open the patio doors for fresh air and countryside views. The contemporary kitchen has all you need for a fuss-free stay, and completing the ground floor layout are two traditionally furnished bedrooms – one with a double bed and the other with twins – each offering more fabulous views. Revive and refresh in the Swedish sauna and shower room at the rear of the property, or enjoy a soothing soak in the family bathroom upstairs. Also on this upper level is a peaceful snug area with a sofa bed and TV – an ideal spot for children to play independently. The surrounding countryside is rich in wildlife – sit on the patio at the front of the cottage and you could see red kites soaring overhead. To the rear is an undercover BBQ area and to the side is a field where children can play; also within the grounds is a games room – shared with the other holiday cottage – where you can play pool and table football, and an outdoor tennis table set is available too. When you’re worn out after all that activity, sit back in the hot tub and gaze at the starry night sky – sheer bliss!
Holiday here and you’re only a mile from Devil’s Bridge, where there’s a pub, cafe, chocolate factory (and shop!) as well the famous waterfalls. Take a walk around the ancient wooden gorge, or enjoy a ride on the Vale of Rheidol Railway through 12 miles of beautiful scenery to the seaside town of Aberystwyth. Stroll along the seafront and visit the iconic castle ruins while you’re here, or experience a different form of travel courtesy of The Aberystwyth Electric Cliff Railway – the view from its summit is stunning!
