Enjoy magical days out on or around Lake Bala in Snowdonia then return to the comfort of this stylish, barn conversion, which comes complete with a hot tub. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom holiday home is just 500 metre from the lake, also known as Llyn Tegid, with its opportunities for walking, cycling and water sports, and close to the historic Welsh town’s shops, restaurants, and narrow-gauge railway. The cottage also has a garden where you can bask in the sunshine.
Wander into the single-storey retreat and make yourselves immediately at home. At the heart of the former barn is a modern-style, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling, revealed timbers and abundance of natural light. Cook your holiday meals in here on the nights you choose to stay in, watch a good film on the TV together and dine at the table either inside or out. There is a sofa bed here that can be used for extra guests by request. When you are ready to turn in for the night, wander through to the twin bedroom or the king-size room, which can also be made up as two singles if discussed in advance. There is a family bathroom at the property. Spill out into the garden on sunny days. Request a BBQ to cook dinner on and fire up the hot tub whenever you choose. There is private parking here.
Venture out into the magnificent Snowdonia National Park from the property. Plan a trip to see the famous Swallow Falls, 25 miles away, pausing in delightful Betws-y-Coed for a cup of tea and Welsh cake on the way home. Visit Blaenau Ffestiniog, 21 miles away, to take a tour of the slate mines and visit Zip World Caverns with its underground zip lines, rope bridges, via ferrata and tunnels.
