This cosy bolthole is moments from the beach in the village of Saundersfoot and offers a delightful romantic retreat for two. This contemporary apartment, which also welcomes two canine companions, is an ideal base from which to explore Pembrokeshire’s glorious coast and countryside. It is less than 200 metres from colourful Saundersfoot, with its sheltered golden sands, bustling harbour and wonderful walks along the coastal path. There’s a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants, while a host of attractions, including picturesque Tenby, are within easy reach.

The spacious ground-floor holiday home forms part of a larger townhouse and has a separate entrance through patio doors to the rear. Inside, the bright and comfortable open-plan living area, with pale wood and soft tones creates a coastal vibe. The pretty bedroom has a nautical theme and there is a streamlined shower room, together with a compact kitchen. Guests can also use a second shared, more fully equipped kitchen, upstairs in the main part of the house. Outside is a small, enclosed garden with a lawn and outdoor furniture.

Saundersfoot’s fine beach offers safe swimming and shallow waters, perfect for water sports such as kayaking and canoeing. While there are seasonal restrictions on the southern half of the sands, pets can run free on nearby Wiseman’s Beach all year round. Stroll down to the harbour, where you can buy the catch of the day or take a boat trip on a sea safari, with the chance of a close-up of inquisitive seals and dolphins. Enjoy a walk along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, with wonderful views along the way. Picture-postcard Tenby, a 4-mile stretch on foot (3 miles by road) has medieval walls, painted houses and cobbled streets.

Great location in the centre of the village with its own car parking space which is great. We only hired the one bedroom part but its very well equipped and dog friendly. The outside lets it down, the garden is overgrown and in need of a good jet wash. Unless its tackled Id be reluctant to recommend it to a friend which is a shame as everything elRead morese is great. Stayed in this apartment few times around 4 years back. So pleased we got to come back as it was our favourite property. Just a shame Ty Glas apartment is looking a bit tired! A few things need replacing & cleaning to make it perfect again.

Large accommodation nice and clean when we arrived. Good equipment in the kitchen and utility room. Value for money. Just the garden needs attention. Overall had a great time.

The mattress on the basement bed is very worn and therefore offers little support. Maybe the owners could consider a new bed, maybe a bit wider... and at least replace the mattress. To be honest we even considered sleeping on one of the corner sofas, which are much firmer. We still love Ty Glas, bed notwithstanding... and look forward to visitRead moreing again at the beginning of December. Hide
