Property code: OC-WAG580

In the heart of some of the UK’s most beautiful scenery, this good-value accommodation is ideal for couples who wish to get away from it all and experience the many attractions of the area. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Caernarfon is 3 miles away, with its independent shops and cafes, arts complex, stylish marina and majestic castle – a must-see. While there, hop onto the Welsh Highland Railway and stop off at the pretty village of Beddgelert, where you can take a riverside walk, visit the old workings at Sygun copper mine and try a tasty treat from the oldest ice cream parlour in Snowdonia. The area around the accommodation is criss-crossed with walks and trails, a popular riverside pub and microbrewery is just half a mile away and, of course, one of the main attractions is the ascent of Mount Snowdon – you are just 6 miles from Llanberis, the station at the start of the mountain railway and where the easiest footpath begins.

Step straight into the open-plan lounge, which has comfortable seating and a small dining table for two. At the far end, the good-sized kitchen has ample worktop and counter space for preparing a hearty meal after a day walking the hills. On the same level you will find a king-size bed with plenty of storage as well as a separate shower room.

Outside is a lawn area with a table and chairs.

The Annexe was small but perfectly formed! The only thing that was missing was a washing machine. The location was excellent, within walking distance of a convenience store, a pub (that served food most days), an hourly bus service and the steam train. In addition, there are lots of great places to visit not far away.

Lovely annexe. Excellent location. Very clean . The owners are lovely friendly and welcoming on arrival. They were very informative. Highly recommended and will definitely be visiting again but for longer. 1 week was definitely not long enough. Was very sad to leave.

Only downsides were lack of views from windows and king sized bed was 2 singles put together so middle of the bed was uncomfortable. Hosts were very very friendly and welcoming and helpful about local facilities
