The cottage is peppered with original features, close to a playground, and with a south-facing kitchen/diner, it’s an ideal base for a small family or group of friends thirsty for outdoor activities in an unforgettable mountainous setting.

The welcoming sitting room is dominated by an inglenook fireplace with a flame effect stove; a place to snuggle after food prepared and served in the airy south-facing kitchen-diner, which leads to the small yard via French doors. Walking boots will see plenty of action during any stay here, with a host of peaks, including Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon, the highest in England and Wales. The National Slate Museum, within Padarn Country Park (5 miles), is a breathtaking sight and offers a fascinating introduction to the area’s proud quarrying history. Llanberis and Caernarfon are both great for a wander, with scenic hillside trails and footpaths to explore.
