Walking boots will see plenty of action during any stay here, with a host of peaks, including Yr Wyddfa - Snowdon, the highest in England and Wales. The National Slate Museum, within Padarn Country Park (5 miles), is a breathtaking sight and offers a fascinating introduction to the area’s proud quarrying history. Llanberis and Caernarfon are both great for a wander, with scenic hillside trails and footpaths to explore.
