Set off for a tranquil Welsh retreat in a small village in Ceredigion, where you’ll be surrounded by pasture land, rolling hills and coastline. Spend your time away spotting dolphins, visiting charming towns and hiking along the Wales Coastal Path. Enjoy quality time with your human and canine guests in this homely cottage with a sociable open-plan layout and characterful wooden beamed ceilings.
On the ground floor is an open-plan living area with a kitchen neatly positioned at one side of the room with traditional wooden cabinets. In front of this is a dining table with chairs to seat six. On the other side of this space is the lounge area, where two plump sofas and an armchair surround a coffee table and Smart TV. There is also a twin bedroom with an en-suite plus a utility room and WC. Upstairs is a family bathroom and two bedrooms – a double and a single with an additional pull-out bed. Outside is an enclosed garden with a lawned area plus furniture.
During your stay on the banks of the river Ceri, you’ll be just 0.5 miles from the small village of Rhydlewis – where there is a quirky ‘in character’ Medieval Tavern, organic shop and butchers. The picturesque sandy Llangrannog beach is just 5.5 miles away, which is canine-welcoming all year round. If you fancy dining out, head to Cardigan (12.5 miles) or Aberaeron (13 miles). You could spend all day at Tresaith (6.5 miles) – as here there’s a sandy beach, waterfall, and a dog-friendly beachfront pub serving freshly caught seafood. Not far from here is the National Trust Penbryn (5 miles), which is a scenic hidden cove surrounded by woodland.
