Property code: OC-WAG686

A contemporary three-storey townhouse, set in a private development, within 5 miles of Bangor and Caernarfon. An excellent location for touring North Wales, the Snowdonia National Park and the Isle of Anglesey; this gorgeous property enjoys a scenic view over 6 miles down the Menai Strait and across to Anglesey. It has spacious living and dining areas, shared grounds and is ideal for families or groups of friends who like their own space as much as quality time together.

The townhouse, which sits in the old Port Dinorwic harbour development, has been finished to an incredibly high standard, with a great use of the open space. Entering via a spacious hallway on the ground floor, discover a well-appointed double bedroom with views of the Menai Strait and access to shared grounds below. A twin bedroom (convertible to a super-king-size bedroom) stands nearby, as does a shower room and twin bedroom. Stairs in the hallway lead to a gorgeous open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the first floor, which leads out onto a spacious balcony with views of the coastline. Guests also have access to shared grounds, which lead directly towards the harbour wall.

Both the Wales Coast Path and the National Cycle Network pass very close to the townhouse, giving guests the freedom to explore the local area with Bangor and Caernarfon (both within 5 miles), offering vibrant arts scenes and historic attractions, including Caernarfon and Penrhyn castles. The village of Llanberis (8miles), famed for its slate mines and from where slate was transported down to Port Dinorwic for export around the world is also the starting point for a walk, or a railway journey, up Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon). The Isle of Anglesey is renowned for it’s beaches and is a walkers’ paradise, with the picturesque town of Beaumaris (8 miles and with another castle) and Plas Newydd House and Gardens (6 miles) both well worth a visit.

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 double, 1 twin (can be arranged as a super-king-size bed on request) and 1 twin room
  • 1 bathroom with shower and WC, separate en-suite WC
  • Electric oven/grill, gas hob, extractor, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher
  • Washing machine
  • Smart TV, games console, DAB+/FM Bluetooth radio
  • Please bring your own beach towels
  • Private glass balcony and terraced balcony, shared lawn garden area
  • Parking - shared private parking for residents/guests is undesignated, but plenty of space; it is usually possible to park very close by; there is a steep flight of slate steps leading down from the parking area to the property.
  • Pub less than 0.5 miles, beach 1 mile
  • Please note there are steep slate steps from the parking area to the property
  • Please ensure children are always supervised in the garden area due to a steep drop at the harbour wall
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00
  • Sorry, no dogs allowed

The kitchen was very well equipped, beautiful setting and central for things to do. The balcony was lovely to sit out on. Disappointed we didn't have use of upper bedroom. The location was the best aspect of this property.

The view and position made this a wonderful holiday house. Good main room on first floor over three cool bedrooms below. Overlooking the ever-changing Menai Straits is captivating. The view is for miles straight down the Straits. Kitchen well equipped. There is so much to do nearby, Caernarfon being the standout, with the Castle, walled town, coaRead morest and railway. All of Anglesey close by too with sandy beaches and rocky headlands, and towering cliffs at South Stack. NT members will enjoy days ta Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newdd. Short drive into Snowdonia mountains too. Menai Bridge has 2 fine restaurants, Dylans and the Freckled Angel. Beaumaris Castle and town lovely too. English Heritage and NT membership worthwhile. We had a wonderful holiday at the cottage. The views were outstanding and really made our holiday very special. The location is ideal as we easily travelled to Conway Castle, Carnarvon Castle, the train up Mt Snowdon and Portmerion. We used the superking bed up the spiral staircase. The room had fabulous views and a small toilet and washroom whichRead more was very handy. I would highly recommend this holiday cottage. Hide
