Property code: OC-WAS406

Converted from a former farm building tucked away on the owner’s smallholding in a peaceful rural setting just outside the village of Mydroilyn and moments from the spectacular nearby coastline, this delightful cottage is the ultimate peaceful retreat to soak up the unspoilt natural beauty of West Wales.

After a long day exploring your surroundings, admire far-reaching countryside views from the comfort of the open-plan living/kitchen/dining room that beckons you to relax on the comfy sofa beneath the high beamed ceiling, enjoy a family game night seated around the dining table beside the exposed brickwork or cook up a storm with the local produce you’ve collected in the contemporary kitchen. When you can’t resist the call of bedtime, you have two inviting and cosy bedrooms to retire to, which each feature a calming neutral colour palette of earthy tones that perfectly reflect the unspoilt countryside that surrounds you. Soak up the fresh, clean countryside air by dining alfresco on the patio, exploring the lawn in the gated grounds or simply watching the sunset from the comfort of the hot tub. There is also a separately metered external standard socket for charging Electric Vehicles.

This beautiful, rural location with excellent local walking trails just outside the sleepy village of Mydroilyn, is just 6.5 miles from the spectacular West Wales coastline. You’ll get to know this area very well by joining the nearby coastal path, boarding a boat trip to spot dolphins, seals and sea birds or enjoying the gloriously sandy beaches of Aberporth (18 miles), Llangrannog (13 miles), New Quay (6 miles) or Aberaeron (6.5 miles). Venture to the south to stroll through the forest footpaths or explore the mountain bike trails at Brechfa Forest 18.5 miles away. The pretty market town of Newcastle Emlyn just 16 miles away offers a myriad of independent shops, cafes and restaurants to discover.

Wonderful, relaxing week in a lovely cottage. Hot tub was perfect after a long walk or cycle ride. We managed to get out and about in between the showers but enjoyed every moment. Thank you Lyn and Oriel for a wonderful stay and all the goodies.

The cottage is located on a farm which is lovely but quite isolated if thats what you want its perfect! We on reflection would have preferred to be nearer to Aberaeron so we didnt have to drive and could walk off dinner in the evenings as there are lots of lovely restaurants there!
