This large holiday home is set in a residential area on the Llyn Peninsula, with fabulous views across Cardigan Bay. The property sleeps eight guests, making it ideal for large families, and has a choice of social spaces for both entertaining and relaxing. The vibrant village of Abersoch, with its sandy beaches and independent eateries, is just 0.5 miles down the hill.

The home-away-from-home is decorated in a traditional style, complementing the original features. At the heart of the house is an open-plan living area, with comfortable seating arranged around a roaring wood burner and a pretty breakfast table overlooking the garden. You’ll also find a well-stocked bookcase and games cupboard. The light and bright kitchen/diner is a lovely spot to gather for evening meals, and again enjoys wonderful views. From the kitchen, you can access the multi-purpose dining/games room and the utility room. A twin room, bathroom, and shower room complete the ground floor. The three remaining bedrooms, along with a landing area with a futon-style sofa and electric keyboard, are upstairs. To the front of the house is a porch with a bench to admire the views and a lawn where children can play. To the rear is a patio area with a BBQ.

Abersoch has two sandy beaches – choose from the small, sheltered cove at the harbour, or the vast expanse of sand at Warren Beach. If you fancy getting out on the water, head to the harbour, where you can take boat trips to explore Abersoch Bay and St Tudwal’s Islands. Nearby day trips include the quaint village of Llanbedrog (3.5 miles) and the surfing hotspot of Porth Neigwl (2 miles).

A lovely bright, spacious and well-equipped home in a nice quiet location at the top of the town, with beautiful sea views. A little dated in decor, but good value for money in this expensive resort. Be aware of the early (9am!) check-out time though!

We were a family group of 6 adults, 2 teenagers 1 baby and 2 dogs. This house was absolutely perfect for us. Lovely and cosy and comfortable and not too posh. Brilliant games room and table tennis table. Plenty of space , great beds, hot showers. The garden was fabulous and location really great. We all loved it. The only downside to our stay was Read morethe late check in time and really early check out time. Never before stayed in a property with these times and most properties are available between 10 and 4. The 9 am departure time on our final day caused a stressful ending to what had been a wonderful holiday. Hide

Pelydryn is a lovely house. It is very easy to make yourself comfortable there. It is really well equipped in the kitchen and the whole heating / water set up is very easy to maintain. The location is good. The beds are comfortable. The games room is a great bonus.

The house was comfortable and spacious, without being over smart. It was clean, had a lovely garden and was in a perfect position for walking. The only small criticism is that a few of the light bulbs flickered, but so minor as to be barely worth mentioning.

We had a good holiday. Most things were provided, but I was surprised when towels for use at the property were not. I can understand beach towels not being provided, but not bath/shower towels. Again, we could not find a sun umbrella to provide shade in the garden. Previous holiday makers had opened a couple of bedroom windows incorrectly. One had Read morea note to say 'only open in an emergency', the other did not (so not sure the owner knew about that window being faulty). It was a hot weekend, so we really needed through ventilation. Hide

Very happy with the property, the location and the processes from Original Cottages, just the niggle about just to say enough loo rolls until you find a shop and NO bath/shower towels. That did leave a taste of penny pinching on what was a good holiday break.
