Unwind in a steaming hot tub with views over the forest at this family-run lodge in an exclusive complex in Betws-y-Coed. Perfectly located for exploring more of North Wales and Snowdonia National Park, this elegant accommodation offers countryside walks straight from the door, or spend your stay curled up in front of the fireplace.

Get back to nature in this wooden country-style lodge, with plenty of natural light and rural views at every turn. Soak up the surrounding rolling landscape, before heading up four steps and letting yourselves into the property. Set over one floor, pop your bags down and usher everyone through to the spacious open-plan living area. With huge windows and floor-to-ceiling glass, spend your nights relaxing in front of the fireplace and gazing out to the Welsh hillside. Play a board game with your guests or use the contemporary kitchen appliances to prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner. Bring the troop together for mealtimes at the sociable dining table, with space for four people. Take the party outside to the terrace hot tub and sink into warming bubbles with an apéritif, screened by the frosted glass. When it’s time to call it a night, just off the living area sit the two bedrooms. With creamy tones throughout, both the king-size and the twin offer up a restful night’s sleep, and are both equipped with Smart TV’s for slower mornings in bed.

Small families or adventurous couples will love the activities that this cottage brings. Betws-y-Coed (8 miles), the gateway to Snowdonia (Eryri), is something out of a storybook. Old-fashioned stone buildings, medieval ruins and the Fairy Glen, makes this village a must-see during your staycation. The area, in general, is popular with walkers, mountain bikers and those who seek adrenaline-fuelled activities. Join one of the walking trails from Betws-y-Coed by following the Swallow Falls or Llyn Elsi path to experience breathtaking views, or follow the mountain biking Marin Trail which meanders through the heart of the forest. Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales, is 15 miles from the cottage, and offers six trails of varying difficulties and unbelievable views. For a gentler activity, hop on the steam train and discover Snowdon by rail.

The set up is oustanding. The equipment and utensils are all top quality. Any 'work' going on in the vicinity was barely noticable. Great location for a pleasant holiday.
