This wonderful property, situated less than half a mile from Mumbles Beach, is the perfect holiday home for families and couples. Spacious and comfortable with a fantastic roof terrace that boasts spectacular views, this cottage is ideal to use as a base to explore the beautiful Gower Peninsula. Head inland for the day and visit Arthur’s Stone (12.5 miles) and Weobley Castle (14 miles) before returning to your welcoming cottage for dinner in the garden.
As you step into the cottage you’re greeted by a peaceful open-plan living area that invites you to snuggle up in front of the wood burner on chilly evenings. The contemporary kitchen is fresh and bright with pretty views from the window, while the long garden is a relaxing haven to enjoy in the summer; wander the length past well-established plants and shrubs to the decking at the end and sip an al fresco drink. At bedtime, head to one of the tranquil bedrooms for a great night’s sleep. Wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day, taking your morning coffee up to the roof terrace from the double bedroom to watch the golden hour unfold.
If you fancy a change of scenery from Mumbles Beach, Langland Bay (1.5 miles) and Caswell Bay (2 miles) are great options for sandy shores. If you want to experience city life, head to Swansea (5 miles) where children will enjoy the self-guided treasure trail that starts at Somerset Place and the National Waterfront Museum that offers interactive workshops, arts and crafts and more. But if it’s hikes you’re after, try the 3-mile Bracelet Bay (1 mile) to Langland Bay loop, or the more challenging 7.5-mile loop that starts at Limeslade Bay (1 mile) and takes you through Langland Bay and Snaple Point.
