A lovely house with all amenities and with wonderful views towards the sea.The balcony with its good furniture was an ideal place to while away some time watching the tides roll in and out, plus the varied wildlife, especially the birds ( saw a Tawny Owl flying below us!). We had a lovely fortnight staying at High Kiln Bank, enjoying the house, its location and the peaceful surroundings. After two days we already felt we had been on holiday much longer, and put this down to how easy it was to settle in, with everything laid out in a way that just made sense, and felt like home really quickly. Our favourite spot wasRead more definitely sitting on the outside terrace, watching the tide coming in and out, and the ever changing colours in the water. The bird song was amazing, squirrels loved chasing around the garden, and we were lucky to be kept company by a Tawny owlet, who watched over us most days, whilst his parents brought him mice at night. It was great to have the coast path on our doorstep and follow it to either Oxwich or Port Eynon and we found many other walks and beaches in the area to explore. We would highly recommend High Kiln Bank to anyone looking to stay in The Gower, where everyone we met was very friendly and welcoming. Hide

A wonderful house that is a real home from home. Since finding it we have come back every year - a gorgeous location ideal for us as a family, and our two dogs love exploring the garden.

Lovely property, nice beach nearby but a big scramble over the rocks - but so worth it. One mile along the pretty coast path to Horton beach, also lovely. Great view, comfortable beds. Highly Recommended - with some caveats below. Beware that there is NOTHING provided - no dishcloth, washing up liquid, milk, sugar etc and the local shop closeRead mores early and the nearest one open after 5-6pm is a good 15 minute drive. If coming a long distance, you need to bring supplies or be prepared to travel back a ways to get shopping. Property is lovely but also gardeners can turn up unannounced to mow the lawn, so no topless sunbathing or allowing free running dogs. Gardeners should at least announce their arrival so dogs can be brought in and guests can arrange to go out. Hide

We recently stayed at High Kiln Bank. The location was lovely, with a beautiful sea view from the terrace it was especially nice to sit out there when the sun was shining. The upstairs area was bright and pleasant thanks to the large windows.

Absolutely stunning location. It is a beautiful house but probably not very suitable for people with mobility issues. We loved sitting in the lounge admiring the views.
