This cosy property, situated less than 500 metres from Mumbles Beach, is a wonderful seaside hideaway for couples and families. Sleeping four across two bedrooms, one with a charming four-poster bed, this property is the perfect place to return to after a long day exploring the many footpaths and beaches nearby. Head off for a stroll through Mumbles Hill Local Nature Reserve (160 metres) and along the Victorian pier (1 mile), before heading back to the house to enjoy a refreshing drink out on the terrace, looking out across the bay.

Step into this pretty property and into the lounge, where tasteful neutral decor paired with peaceful blue tones invite you to curl up on the window seat with a good book, glancing over at the sea views every once in a while. Cook up a storm in the contemporary kitchen that has a bright and airy feel, before taking it through to the dining area to enjoy a sociable meal around the table. Upstairs, an elegant king-size four-poster bed awaits you for a tranquil night’s sleep; the twin bedroom is also a welcoming haven to relax in after a long day, with lots of light coming through the floor-to-ceiling window in the mornings.

If you fancy another sandy beach besides Mumbles, visit Bracelet Bay (1 mile), Langland Bay (1.5 miles) or Caswell Bay (2.5 miles), all of which are perfect for making sandcastles. Swansea is just 6 miles away and offers plenty of cafes, bars and shops as well as the historic castle and the interactive National Waterfront Museum (6.5 miles). Further afield, there’s over 450 acres of rare wetland habitat at Llanelli Wetland Centre (13.5 miles) where you can hand-feed geese and ducks, complete an obstacle course or go cycling down the Celtic Trail Route.

A delightful, old cottage, and ticked all the boxes apart from the location. The description should mention the very steep approach and parking, although free, would not be suitable for a large car. Although the beach and shops are close by, its a challenging walk back up to the cottage.

A beautiful location and the area is gorgeous! So much to do surrounding the property. Having its own parking space is also really handy. This cottage is not suitable for those with young children or any mobility struggles. The stairs inside are steep and very slippy in a sock or bare feet meaning footwear needs to be worn at all times. Carrying Read moreour baby up and down the stairs was quite hairy! We couldnt enjoy the balcony pictured as it is also very steep up at the back of the garden. Well equipped and a nice sized space but cleanliness was poor but hopefully will be addressed for future stays! Hide
