There’s also access to the outdoors from the open-plan kitchen/diner – great for dogs who can’t decide whether to snooze inside or out – alongside a range of shaker-style cabinets and all the self-catering essentials. A separate dining room for more formal mealtimes also has doors to the garden. Completing the convenience of the ground floor is a shower room close to the staircase. On the floor above, there’s a stylish family bathroom and four bedrooms: one has a super-king-side bed, en-suite shower room and wonderful views towards Three Cliffs Bay, the second has a double bed, and a third with bunk beds. The final bedroom has a king-size zip-and-link bed which can be made up as a twin on request. There’s much to admire inside here, but an additional wow factor awaits at the rear of the property, where the garden has a large lawn, lovely planting and a patio.
Village amenities are on the doorstep, while the beautiful beach at Three Cliffs Bay, with its stunning river valley and Norman Castle ruins, is a 4.5-mile drive away or can be reached with a walk across the links golf course at Pennard. Get away from the crowds at neighbouring Tor Bay, or discover more about the area at Gower Heritage Centre, an engaging cluster of craft workshops, teashops and other family attractions around a 12th-century water mill at Parkmill (3 miles).
