Friendly and welcoming for multi-generational family holidays or group get-togethers, this beach-side cottage in Port Eynon has been designed to take full advantage of its southerly location and sea views.

A reverse-level layout means the living spaces of this seaside getaway are on the first floor. The kitchen, fully equipped and spacious, leads to the dining area, which has glazed doors to a small balcony. This compact space is a lovely spot for a quiet coffee while gazing out at the sea and sky. The lounge, with seating for seven and a TV/DVD, is open plan to the dining area, and there’s also a twin bedroom and a handy WC on this floor. On the ground floor you’ll find the remaining three bedrooms - a king-size with built-in wardrobes and an en-suite shower room, and two further twins, plus the handsome family bathroom. For dogs and children to run around, or to dine in the fresh air, head outside and enjoy the south-facing, lawned garden.

Set within the beautiful coast and countryside of the Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the house is located right above Port Eynon, one of Gower’s most famous beaches. Its long, golden sands are both picturesque and safe for swimming, and it has lifeguards during the summer months. Surfers will want to ride the waves at Llangennith, 7 miles, or you could try the beaches at Rhossili, Oxwich Bay and Three Cliffs Bay, all within 8 miles. For a cosmopolitan selection of shops and places to eat and drink, Mumbles is 14.5 miles and Swansea 16 miles.

The house had everything, binoculars, foil, speakers , loads of loo roll, kitchen roll, soap, pegs etc. Cosy warm when got chilly in evening. View was glorious, round the corner from good pub and cafes.

I booked this fabulous property to celebrate some very special occasions. Both my parents turning 80 years old and my daughter and her partner visiting from Australia. It was the perfect venue for the most precious Christmas we have ever had. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful property and its location was second to none. This is a very clean, comfortable, well equipped house with a lovely view of the beach from the upstairs lounge. It has two available parking spaces and is close to all amenities that Port Eynon offers.

The cottage was spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. For such an isolated area the wifi was good and the one time it did go off the landlord sorted it very quickly. The showers were very strong but did tend to fluctuate temperature wise if more than one source of water was being used at a time which is something to be aware ofRead more with young children. The added bonus was ample onsite parking which I've always found to be an issue on previous holidays.
