The beach is on your doorstep at this stunning coastal cottage. It’s full of quaint country charm and thoughtful decoration, and with the beautiful Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty all around, you’ll soon feel relaxed during your stay. Open-plan living spaces and four beautiful bedrooms make this a fabulous choice for a big group gathering; there’s a generous-sized garden too where you can unwind in the covered dinning area and listen as the sea laps on the shoreline.
Cottage styling gets an on-trend revision at this characterful coastal cottage. Ideal for a party of friends or family, it features a striking kitchen/diner/utility space complete with feature tiled flooring, a table and chairs to seat six and French doors onto the garden – bring a dog and he can wander in and out at will! Similarly fashionable, the lounge/diner here has soft seating, a TV and a wood burner, plus a second dining suite and French doors to the garden. A handy cloakroom is off the utility area with a wc and shower, while upstairs there’s an impressive family bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Four bedrooms are also on this upper floor: one a super-king-size with dual-aspect windows and beach views, a king-size room also with views over the beach, a double room and a triple room with bunks and a single bed. An additional pull-out single bed can be requested for use in this room too. This beachside retreat is beside the car park at Horton Bay. Listen to the sounds of the shoreline as you sit in the garden or enjoy drinks on the patio – the beach is just a 150 metres stroll away.
Spacious and safe, the beach at Horton is an all-rounder for water sports and family fun, with lifeguards on duty during summer. Neighbouring Port Eynon has over the centuries been a centre for oyster fishing, limestone quarrying and salt extraction. Today, the beach is popular for diving, sailing, surfing and windsurfing. A 3.5-mile drive in the opposite direction, Oxwich Bay is the longest expanse of sand in South Gower, backed by dunes, woodland and cliffs.
