The beach is on your doorstep at this stunning coastal cottage. It’s full of quaint country charm and thoughtful decoration, and with the beautiful Gower Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty all around, you’ll soon feel relaxed during your stay. Open-plan living spaces and four beautiful bedrooms make this a fabulous choice for a big group gathering; there’s a generous-sized garden too where you can unwind in the covered dinning area and listen as the sea laps on the shoreline.

Cottage styling gets an on-trend revision at this characterful coastal cottage. Ideal for a party of friends or family, it features a striking kitchen/diner/utility space complete with feature tiled flooring, a table and chairs to seat six and French doors onto the garden – bring a dog and he can wander in and out at will! Similarly fashionable, the lounge/diner here has soft seating, a TV and a wood burner, plus a second dining suite and French doors to the garden. A handy cloakroom is off the utility area with a wc and shower, while upstairs there’s an impressive family bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Four bedrooms are also on this upper floor: one a super-king-size with dual-aspect windows and beach views, a king-size room also with views over the beach, a double room and a triple room with bunks and a single bed. An additional pull-out single bed can be requested for use in this room too. This beachside retreat is beside the car park at Horton Bay. Listen to the sounds of the shoreline as you sit in the garden or enjoy drinks on the patio – the beach is just a 150 metres stroll away.

Spacious and safe, the beach at Horton is an all-rounder for water sports and family fun, with lifeguards on duty during summer. Neighbouring Port Eynon has over the centuries been a centre for oyster fishing, limestone quarrying and salt extraction. Today, the beach is popular for diving, sailing, surfing and windsurfing. A 3.5-mile drive in the opposite direction, Oxwich Bay is the longest expanse of sand in South Gower, backed by dunes, woodland and cliffs.

We had a lovely stay at Swn Y Mor cottage in Horton. Such a lovely location behind the sand dunes and short walk to the beach. The beach is amazing and as it was February, quite quiet. We walked to the local pub, through the dunes for delicious pub food and then back to the cottage for comfortable evenings in front of the log burner (take your own Read morelogs). The cottage is in a great location and ideal for walking. Hide

A lovely comfortable cottage in a brilliant position near the beach. The garden and outside shower were much appreciated. We were a three generational group and it suited everyone very well.

We booked this property for seven female friends to celebrate several milestone birthdays. The cottage is perfectly located, just a minute's walk to beautiful Horton beach and a ten minute walk along the wooden pathway to Port Eynon, and The Ship which is a great pub with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff. We also visiRead moreted Three Cliffs Bay, Rhossili , Oxwich, Caswell Bay and Mumbles and although the weather wasn't great, we didn't get wet! The cottage is very well equipped, tastefully decorated and has everything you need for your stay and it's very comfortable. The beds and bedlinen are super comfy and the bathrooms are excellent with good showers and there's also one bath. There's even a shower in the garden, but sadly, the weather wasn't good enough for us to try this one ! Plenty of space to prepare meals and sit around the kitchen table, and when the sun shines, around the table on the patio. We had a great stay - thank you! Hide

The house was a really good size for a group of 5 adults and a dog, the photos dont quite do it justice! Amazing location right next to the beach with a large enclosed garden. Well kitted out kitchen with lovely open plan kitchen/dining area. Beds really comfy with lovely bedding. Lots of amazing beaches and walks near by. Would definitely recommenRead mored! Hide
