Overlooking Three Cliffs Bay and backing onto National Trust land at Gower sits this charming one-bedroom Victorian property. It’s the perfect base for a couple plus one canine companion seeking tranquillity, coastal walks, and seaside activities.

Inside beamed ceilings and tiled flooring contrast strikingly with brilliant white walls and colourful soft furnishings. In the open-plan lounge, settle back on the sofa with a film or enjoy a chat and an evening drink in front of the electric fire. When it’s time to eat rustle up a delicious meal in the neat kitchen and then serve it at the intimate table overlooked by a pretty window. From the lounge, fifteen steps lead down to an attractive bathroom while narrow stairs sweep up to the wonderfully comfortable bedroom. The bedroom features a double bed, two armchairs, and a pretty bay window where you can sit and gaze at the coastal views. Back on the ground floor, step out into the landscaped garden and relax on the furniture. Potted plants, flowers, and a pond add to the tranquillity and guests also have access to a lovely gazebo boasting glorious sea views. Both the garden and gazebo are shared with Mulberry Hill Cottage but there is plenty of room for everyone.

Cefn Bryn is right on your doorstep and is the highest point on Gower. Walkers can enjoy a five-mile hike along the ridge and on the way you can enjoy spotting herons, lizards, and hares. For longer walks in nature pick up the Gower Way, a 35-mile footpath, and head to Rhossilli (8.5 miles). Once here relax with a picnic and your hound on the stunning dog-friendly Rhossilli Bay Beach. Alternatively, head to Three Cliffs Bay Beach (1 mile) and enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea.

Great location. So secluded, peaceful and tranquil, a home from home, well equipped, lovely garden. Sian & Peter made us welcomed, and was helpful with recommendations and would highly recommend. P.s we appreciated the complimentary Welsh cake.

The School House at Mulberry Hill offered us something rare: stillness. Not the kind that feels empty, but the kind that fills you up quietly, moment by moment. From the first step inside, we felt held. The cottage, with its thick stone walls and timeworn beams, seemed to exhale around us. Mornings began with tea by the bay window, watching the Read morelight shift over Three Cliffs Baysometimes soft and silver, sometimes bold and blue. We didnt rush. We didnt need to. The open-plan living space was just right for two. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the sofa became our evening nest after long walks along the Gower Way. The bedroom upstairs was a sunlit sanctuary, and the bath downstairsdeep and quietbecame a ritual after each days exploring. Outside, the garden felt like a secret. We spent golden hours in the gazebo, wrapped in blankets, watching the sky change. The path to the cliffs was just beyond the gate, and each walk felt like a giftwildflowers underfoot, sea breeze in our lungs, and the kind of conversations that only happen when the world slows down. We came here to rest. We left restored. Geoff & Mary Jane June 2025 Hide

We had a super holiday at the School House and would love to visit again. The location was great for exploring Gower. The cottage was very peaceful and the garden was lovely. The bedroom was the best feature so light and with a wonderful view.

Lovely unique and quirky cottage and the owners were very welcoming. Surrounding garden and location is amazing. Quite a lot of stairs in the property so only suitable for fit and able guests. Bedroom was lovely and bathroom very clean. Nice freshly baked Bara-brith cake for us on arrival. WI-FI could do with upgrading.

We had a wonderful stay at the School House. The view from the bedroom was stunning. Sitting there with a coffee in the morning, rain or shine, was so relaxing. Peter and Sian were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation has everything you need, a well equipped kitchen, although the downstairs is a little on the narrowside particularly wherRead moree the TV is. The beaches of 3 Cliffs and Oxwich were walkable from the property but parts of the walk back up for both was steep. However, well worth it as the beaches, particularly when the tide was out, were breathtaking. Rhossili/ Worms Head just a 20 minute drive away and well worth a visit. The property is in a quiet location so very peaceful. Just be careful on the single track road approaching the property as we had to turn round a hit a concealed rock. Hide
