An unrivalled base for exploring the wonders of the National Park all around you, this property is within effortless reach of thrill-seeking adventure days out, easy walks amongst coastal villages or rewarding hikes of the surrounding mountain landscapes. The property itself is entirely modern and well-thought-out, merrily welcoming a maximum of 12 guests and two well-behaved doggos.

Luxury surroundings set across two storeys await within this detached stone cottage. The ground floor presents plenty of communal space for relaxing together. Plot your day’s route on the statement Snowdonia map wall before packing up a hearty picnic in the expertly-designed kitchen. A shower room can be found downstairs, easily serving the two ground-floor bedrooms. In the lounge, large windows, comfy seating and a wood burner add to the room’s appeal. Step upstairs to find two more king-size bedrooms, each with an en-suite and additional sofa bed for family stays. Outside the property, you’ll find a generous allocation of outdoor living space for chilling on summer evenings. The large garden is entirely enclosed, ideal for those with pets or young kids, and boasts a patio with a fire pit and a stone-built BBQ. WiFi available and provided through a 4G router so may provide limited bandwidth

You’ll never tire of things to do when staying on the outskirts of Blaenau Ffestiniog (2.5 miles), an epic holiday destination with adventure centres, local culture and fascinating history to boot. Take in the remarkable surrounding scenery with a trip to Porthmadog (10.5 miles) on the Ffestiniog steam train, exploring the dramatic setting of Morfa Bychan (12 miles) once you’ve reached the coast. Back at the property, you’ll find plenty of laminated guides to local walks, so step out and explore the Cwmorthin Waterfall (3 miles), the Tanygrisiau Reservoir (2.5 miles) or the Tomen y Mur (3.5 miles) close to home.

We had a wonderful time at The Haybarn, everything and more that we wanted and wished for. The beds are huge and very comfortable, as was the bedroom itself. The shower were waterfall style, easy to use and perfect temperature. Every bit of equipment that you could think of was available, high chair, stair gate, books, leaflets and guides, washing Read moremachine and dryer, full kitchen, (we cooked a lot and a variety of meals) plates, dishes, glasses, fire pit, bbq, lovely range cooker. The location is perfect, with even better views, easy to find. Could get a good 4 or 5 cars on the driveway. The garden is delightful, very large grass area, and patio as well has being highly secure for dogs and children. Hide

The Haybarn is a really great place to stay - I can highly recommend it whether you like some peace and quiet in Snowdonia or as the perfect spot for an active holiday. The view from the terrace is really stunning, and although remote, amenities are only a short drive away. The house is well-equipped and comfortable, and the owners left loads of inRead moreformation about the area as well as walks nearby. I'd be happy to return! Hide

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the family. Plenty of space for six adults and two small children, adding in two more adults for a couple of nights. Appreciated child gates, high chair, and cot! Quick response to questions, grocery store quick drive, and restaurant recommendations spot on! Lovely stay. Would highly recommend.

Lovely stay in a beautiful house and location. Well equipped and cosy. The hosts are very accommodating. Lots of activities in the area. We ate at the local pub one evening and the food was great, staff are extremely welcoming. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great location with lots to do within a short drive. Great views from the house and it was well suited to our two families with a great layout. We'd happily go back.

We were a family group of 8 adults, with 2 dogs, and we had a lovely time at the Haybarn. It was a great location, central to many interesting places. The facilities were great. We had a fab time, and look forward to coming back.

All fantastic - my only non maximum score is whether we would go back again - it is a long way for us and we did go for a particular purpose that might not repeat itself in the future. But certainly were others to identify a trip to that part of the world I'd say this would be a brilliant base.

The only down side was the WIFI this didnt work very well wasnt strong enough for 7 of us
