Property code: OC-BOW222

This compact ground-floor studio apartment is located in the heart of Menai Bridge coastal town in Anglesey. Well-designed and within walking distance to the seafront, it’s a fantastic base for a couple or solo traveller looking to enjoy local shops and restaurants plus cliff-top walks and sandy beaches.

Formerly a bakehouse, the property has been thoughtfully renovated and combines original features with contemporary décor. Whitewashed walls, ambient lighting, and pleasant soft furnishings create a homely atmosphere. After a day exploring Anglesey, relax on your double bed with a film on the TV or step through to the sleek kitchen and rustle up a meal. The kitchen overlooks a neat table with seating for two people. It’s a good spot for an intimate dinner and for planning the next day’s agenda. Despite the property’s central location, the apartment is wonderfully quiet and you can be sure of a peaceful night’s sleep. In the morning, start the day with a refreshing shower before stepping outside and enjoying a walk along the seafront. There is also an enclosed outside area, included with garden furniture.

Enjoy walks along the seafront and observe egrets, oystercatchers, and curlew wading in the waters. Afterwards head to the high street and browse the independent shops then stop for lunch at one of the pubs or restaurants. The more adventurous can enjoy a thrilling rib ride along the Menai Strait or head to Puffin Island (9 miles) and spend the day spotting puffins, seals, and dolphins. For a day at the beach, head to Llanddona Beach (5 miles) or explore Plas Cadnant (1 mile) with its beautiful gardens and waterfalls. Also worth a visit is Beaumaris Castle (4 miles). Explore inside this pretty 13th-century castle and be sure to admire the views of Snowdonia from the top.

Over priced for what you get. Should be around 400-450. No contact with owner. Not much information on places to see mostly food places. Left some for next occupants. Shower was lovely. Can't get some standard stations on TV.

The hosts have worked so hard to provide a lovely couples retreat in the heart of Menai Bridge and conveniently placed to explore Anglesey. Lots of lovely independent shops, cafes and restaurants on your doorstep if you do not want to do much self-catering. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Could not have asked for a better break. Highly Read morerecommended! Hide

The appartment was ideal for our break, being very well located for both Anglesey and a good portion of North Wales. We thought it was well laid out and made good use of space, the complimentary milk / Welsh cakes etc were a nice touch. In Menai Bridge itself we particularly liked the Green Olive vegan restaurant and the Belgian Promenade.
